Manager Mode Fault - Crash?

Im into my 3rd season on manager mode with Plymouth Argyle. 2nd game in, and after the match, whilst loading (says simulating) it gets stuck at 1% and stops loading.

I have tried simulating the match to get past it, but it does exactly the same thing?

Is this a known fault that happens in the 3rd season that is already known about, or is their a fault with the game...

I have worked hard with this career mode, and if i have lost the 2 years i have done of it, im not going to be happy.

Any ideas?

Is this going to happen again if i use a different team? Thought the manager mode section of the game was 15 seasons, im just barely into my 3rd?!

yeah it happens at random, not sure why though.

I am not sure if clearing your cache will help solve it

Jesus Christ that is lalalala! They should redo their advertising.

Buy Fifa 09, you may or may not be able to play 15 seasons. It's totally up to the games bugs!

EA Sports: We sell people games that don't work! But hey! We got the money so who gives a ****!

Oh and btw, i got a reply to my message to EA Sports. Suggested i deleted my 'saved game data' which i did, updated my system which i did and it's still the same.

Well done EA, a multi million pound cooperation that releases games with huge bugs that make them unplayable...

UPDATE:
Have just received a reply to my earlier message to EA.

Apparently, it can either be that my disc is damaged/scratched. Which it isnt. Or it is my consol which is damaged.

Seems seriously suspect that neither of these explanations involve EA admitting they may have faults/bugs on the game.

Have just tried my brothers copy of Fifa 09 on the PS3, and it doesnt work and stalls at the same point too...

Of course i cant test the game on his consol as the saved game data is on my consol.

Absolutely criminal?!

How did they reply to you? was it via pm or e-mail.
This bug hasnt happened to me yet and im on my 4th MM season.

Fifa 08 freezed occasionally in the Arena or when a sub was made, and my disc was in perfect condition. it's definatly a coding problem. if only the dev's were on here to tell us what's wrong.

PM/E-mail. Customer service center thingy...

Like i said, 2nd game into my 3rd season with Plymouth. Nothing i can do about it.
Do i risk starting another season only for it to happen again.

Ironic thing is i never had a problem with Fifa 08, yes i had a couple of crashes after matches but it all worked fine on reload.

Have tried restarting the game about 8 times now, and it gets stuck at exactly the same point each time.

Apparently playing Fifa 09 is like Russian Roulette. It can be fine for a while, but if you get that bullet its over and done with for that career mode session...

Interesting thing is i can still hear the car noises and birds in the background, but the loading icon has stoped flickering...

You could try and copy the save game onto a memory stick and using on your brothers. It might be worth a shot to prove EA wrong. I t does seem unlikely that the disc or console will be the cause of this. I hope EA find the fault soon!!

Just tried moving it over with his expandable hard-drive and low and behold, it still doesnt work! Guess his consol must have the same fault as mine too... Not to mention his game also!

It's odd that it happens in the 3rd Season for most people. although it didn't happen to me fortunatly. what could be within the game's code which makes it crash at this point? any programmers out there have a clue?

I dont understand it. What possible circumstances their could be for it to crash:

- The game in which it crashes is at the Stadium Plymouth have in the game
- I was playing Arsenal
- It was during the Summer Transfer Window
- I had bids on players pending
- I was playing a couple of new players?
- I had the game on auto-save
-
Anything else that could effect it that i could mention please let me know?

Im guessing the people who replied to you from the Customer Service Center arent qualified to give you a proper response. ie, they didn't code the game. so they just churned out that answer that your disc or console is damaged.

Those who this has happened to then according to EA have faulty disks or consoles my console is fairly new and has no other problems so that means it's the disk ? So EA are saying we have faulty disks in trhat case we should get a refund ?

Plenty of people are having this problem. It's highly unlikely it's a console/disc error, so just ignore their cookie cutter reply. I think EA are aware of the issue, so we'll just have to wait it out.

The problem is, a) i cant start another career mode if this is just going to happen again. b) this better be a issue they are going to deal with for Fifa 2010, c) It's going to be a year before this issue is dealt with, if it is dealt with, either way, people are still forking out for a faulty product?!

What season are you in?

The problem with the crash im talking about is you cant move forward with the game. So its like 2 months of career mode down the dustbin!
