i've been working on getting the 100G achievement and around and played about 15 games and dont really fancy starting again

if i were you id finish this season and then start again....cos 100 goals will be really tough once you've changed the tactics.

also dont forget you get 15 seasons in MM and you have another year till the next fifa, so there is plenty of time

I normally just read and don't post, but I took the time to adjust the ratings for every premier league team and the top two teams from each major league as well apply the proper custom tactics and it works.

I had been playing on Pro, but got so tired of knowing exactly what the CPU was going to do and winning 3-1 every game so I switched to World Class. The step up was almost impossible and I was so furious at the pace of play from the CPU so I began looking for a solution. I took a chance on this idea and put the time in to adjust the ratings and it was worth every second.

I do MM and all of the adjustments and tactics translated and every match is competitive and a real treat. The big four are still hard to play and evenly matched competition provides a quality match. Your pace, control and shot accuracy are vastly improved as well as the CPU's counter attack being slowed down.

This worked a charm and has made playing every game the way it should be.

Now I just need to figure out why my players turn to strafe when chasing down a lobbed pass towards the touch line.

Thanks mate. Actually, there is lot more tweaking that can be done in FIFA to make it a great game. I'm actually working on something which could be very useful.

By the way, on your defender's reaction to the lobbed pass, EA is patching it this week! Good luck!

Hi bluchampblogger,

I find you one master of tactical setting.

I need help.I have been up with this great player who i can match him every single play but often being killed by his one killing passes.
It usually happens when from nowhere he able to pass that final ball right to the striker who actually position himself infront the keeper without offside.Even ive tried 5 defender it wont work.

I do not knows how to adjust custom setting cos usually i let the default setting and i played using my own ability.(Juventus is my favourite due to it suits my nature tru ball passing and crossing.

Now like i said im against this master who consider a nation champion here and i was able to match him in all areas like winning the ball and etc
But if i score he can immediately reply with that 'killing pass'
(three short passes and the striker will be there to recv in front of mygk n left unmark!
So you think which setting i should use to stop that? or at least minimize such 'killing pass'

Fantastic Post Mate. This is what I did manually:

Researched the Relegation battlers, Mid-Tablers and Euro-Aspirants for EPL, La iga and Series A and applied them to the teams. (using 9 slots.)

I then used another 12 slots creating tactics for the Big 4 in the EPL, Barca and Real Madrid, Roma, AC Milan, Inter, Roma, Lyon, Bayern Munich and Porto.

I think the game is realistic but only on Legendary difficulty because every other one doesn't require build-up play. The only problem I have with the game is that Legendary goalkeepers are only better than other ones at saving headers but no one-on-ones or longshots. One-on-ones are far too easy, all you have to do is slow down and aim. I can score one 9/10 with any outfield Arsenal player. The only way I can miss is when I'm distracted by another defender pressuring me and I dont stop sprinting.

yo, nice post. maybe i missed it in the article...but for all of you who want a real challenge in fifa manager mode...or any other mode. change the passing and crossing settings to manual and change shooting to at least semi. this means that no longer will the AI decide the strength and path of your passes and crosses...you'll have to control the strenght via pressure sensitivity of button pushing and path via aiming with the analog (real 360 aiming). with assist on the AI chooses the best path to avoid the defense...with it off...you must do this on the fly without assistance. its very difficult to adjust to if your not used to it...but if you give it some time it will make you a much better player. Also, if your looking for a real challenge on manager mode....legendary is the only way to go, pro is too easy, world class isnt enough...im currently taking lech poznan (polish team) into the knockout round of Champions league on legendary in the my 2nd season...this is a real challenge.

the frustrating part is trying to play online with these settings vs players who are using assist...as with any lag having to pass and cross manually becomes very difficult
