An Utter Disgrace

This is the single most frustrating football game I've ever played.

This isn't just a step backwards from FIFA 08, it's ten steps backwards.

Plays exactly like EURO 08. Zero defense. The defensive line is made up of complete idiots who seem to think that they're forwards or midfielders. For this reason you have no choice but to play an offensive minded game whether you want to or not... it's all route one, route one, route one... through ball, through ball, through ball...

This game knows nothing about lateral play - or day I even say it, play in which you actually.... shock, gasp... move the ball backwards!

The game rewards video style arcade-like game play and punishes creative minded thinking in which you move the ball tactically upfield - there's no point in using tactics in this game because the only way to be successful is to play the way that EA wants you to play... go forward... go forward... go forward... look we'll even gimp your opponent's defense for you by pushing them upfield and out of position so that you'll get a breakaway opportunity... just go forward... go forward.. go forward...

It's almost impossible for me to believe that the people who designed 08 are the same people behind this complete joke of a game. I can't believe that they crapped this turkey out.

An absolute disgrace.

Worst sixty dollars I have EVER spent.

This game rewards video game players, and punishes football enthusiasts. You don't need to know a single thing about football to excel at this game.

A complete and utter disgrace. I ripped up EURO 08 and threw it into the trash - this piece of lalalala is going straight back to the store for a re-sell. Pathetic. Disgusting. God awful tripe. I wouldn't even use the box cover to clean up my dog's droppings in the park.

If I were in a yacht, and global warming had melted all the glaciers so that the world was just one big ocean, and the EA FIFA 09 team came swimming along, I WOULD NOT PICK THEM UP.

Pathetic game. Completely pathetic. It shocks me that anyone would have the audacity to recommend this game, as so many reviewers have god they can all go to hell.

"The most realistic game yet". That's for sure!

reviews are in from people that played the game for 5 minutes, exact opposite ?, 90% of threads on here are about glitches or poor game play, , wonder strike by wayne rooney ?, you obviously play with man ure lol, losing lots of games ?, not me dude, just lump it up down the middle , run in and score, i respect everybodys opinion mind, if you guys like it, then great,

Oh I'm going - no question about it. I am absolutely stunned at how bad this game is.

In FIFA 08, I started off losing almost all of my online matches, and only as I learned how to play the game did I eventually begin to win games. Almost every game I won I felt I had won because I played a more tactically sound game of football.

This game has removed all creativity from the model. An absolute joke of a game.

or do you just reek at the game, you talk about playing only attacking football...that's funny just the other day i was 2 goals up and wanted to defend my established lead, so I switched my team to defensive using the d-pad, went to the custom tactics and reduced pressure to low, played possession football e.t.c

learn how to play the game first!

It's a forum. Your're gonna get a lot of threads with problems they're are experiencing but that's in any game forum.

Also what makes you say that reviewers play games for 5 minutes? Obviously not.....they usually finish up the games.

I also had high hopes for this game, but leave it to EA to take several steps backwards. They do it with all of their sports games - NCAA especially. I tried giving this game a chance, but I really have more fun playing FIFA 08. I'm trading this game in also, either Gears of War 2 or WaW. These forums have become nothing more than people pointing out weaknesses in the game and people attacking the people who do complain about the game. Your not allowed to have a negative attitude toward this game apparently. If you find nothing wrong with this game, you are the epitome of an EA fanboy...

Not.

I'm not interested in learning how to play a game that doesn't even resemble real football. If you think that 09 plays anything like the real game then you know nothing about football.

The game is a disgrace. It's light years behind 08.

Wow that's how I feel about FIFA 09 from FIFA 08. In FIFA 09 I when I lose, I feel like I deserve to lose and that more skill is required to score.

You my friend are losing games and suck at it so practice, practice, practice.

You sound like some PES Fanboy........anyways if you don't like FIFA 09 than you'll have to play PES 09 which is arcadey......
