EA Football World Guide: Account linking | viewing Videos/Photos | Creating an Avatar

This is a basic guide for those that are new to EA SPORTS Football World and would like to use some of it's features.

Before you can create an avatar or view your uploaded videos and photo's you must have linked your PlayStation3 user name / Xbox360 Gamertag to your EA account. Some of you may have done this previously, if this is the case then you need not link your PlayStation3 user name / Xbox360 Gamertag to your EA account again.

Once you have linked your PlayStation3 user name / Xbox360 Gamertag to your EA account, you need to make sure that your PlayStation3 user name / Xbox360 Gamertag is set as the default persona on EA Football World.

Having set your default persona, you will now be able to create a FIFA 09 avatar and view your uploaded video's and photo's from FIFA 09.

How to link your PlayStation 3 Username to your EA account

1. Go to EA.com and log in with your main EA account details.
2. Click on the "Add Persona" found under "Select A Default Persona"
3. Select the “existing PLAYSTATION Network Online ID” radio button and enter the PS3 User name that you wish to link to your EA account.
4. Select "Add Persona"
5. This should generate an e-mail to your registered e-mail address.
6. Follow the link contained within the e-mail. Once that is done, your PS3 Username will be successfully linked with this account.

How to link your Xbox360 Gamertag to your EA account

1. Go to EA.com and log in with your main EA account details.
2. Click on the "Add Persona" found under "Select A Default Persona"
3. Select the “existing Xbox LIVE Gamertag” radio button and enter the Xbox360 Gamertag name that you wish to link to your EA account.
4. Select "Add Persona"
5. This should generate an e-mail to your registered e-mail address.
6. Follow the link contained within the e-mail. Once that is done, your Xbox360 Gamertag will be successfully linked with this account.

How set your PSN ID / Gamertag as your default persona

Before you can see any video's, photo's or stats from the game you first need to set your PSN ID / Gamertag as your default persona. To set your default persona on EA SPORTS Football World:

1. Click on the "Profile" tab
2. Click on "Edit" (found under "My Bio") - Image
3. Select your PSN ID / Gamertag from the persona drop-down list - Image
4. Set this as your default persona - Image

How to view uploaded replays
The most convenient way to do this is to add the Videos widget to your main page, to do this:

1. Click on Add Widgets - Image
2. Find the Videos widget and click the ADD button - Image
3. Now click "Complete"

You now have the videos widget on your main EA SPORTS™ Football World page which will show your six most recent uploaded videos*. To see all of your uploaded videos from various EA football titles click on "More" and you will now be able to access every video you have uploaded.

*Note: You must have set your PSN ID / Gamertag as the default persona for your videos to show. You can only have a maximum of 5 FIFA 09 uploaded videos at any one time.

How to view uploaded photos
You will need to add the Photos widget to your main page, to do this:

1. Click on Add Widgets - Image
2. Find the Photos widget and click the ADD button - Image

You now have the photos widget on your main EA SPORTS™ Football World page which will show your most recent uploaded photos*. To see all of your uploaded photos from various EA football titles click on "More" and you will now be able to access every photo you have uploaded.

How to create a FIFA 09 avatar
Complete the following steps to create your FIFA 09 avatar:

1. Click on the "Visit Avatar Store button - Image
2. Select "FIFA Football"* - image
3. Create your avatar, save it and then click on the "X" to close.
4. It can take up to 48 hours for your newly created avatar to appear in-game.

*You must select FIFA Football for your avatar to appear in-game, creating your avatar the using the "Web" default will only result in the avatar being shown on EA Football World.

I get an error when trying to link my PlayStation3 user name / Xbox 360 Gamertag to my EA account
If you receive an error when trying to link your PlayStation3 user name / Xbox 360 Gamertag to your EA account, you will need to contact EA Customer Support who will be able to assist you.

I haven't received an e-mail as suggested in step 4 when trying to link an account
This e-mail can take up to 48 hours to arrive, but typically arrives shortly after submitting your request. If, after 48 hours you still have not received the e-mail and you successfully submitted the linking request, check your spam box in case the e-mail has been filtered. If the e-mail still cannot be found you will need to contact EA Customer Support who will be able to assist you.

My Photos and Videos aren't showing
Ensure you have selected your PSN ID / Gamertag as your default persona as they will not show using an EA ID. If you have set your default persona correctly it may be that there is a duplicate of your persona on EA Football World, in which case you will need to contact EA Customer Support who will be able to help you.

My Avatar doesn't show in-game
It can take up to 24 hours for your avatar change to take effect. However, ensure you edited the FIFA Football avatar and have since restarted your console since saving your avatar on EA Football World.
