Default Is this the side stepping you talk about?

When you are chasing an opposition player and you switch to another defender and instead of carrying on there line of run they were doing before you took control of them they like stop and slow down then carry on miles behind the attacker?

Because that ****es me off!

The title of thread should explain why it is a new thread, Because I am asking if it the same thing?

If its so much of an issue then a MOD can merge it with the others.

Right, strangely that hasnt happened to me yet, but the friggin defender when switching player, stops his run for a millisecond an lets the attacker clean through happens all the time, maybe its something im doing?

Hasn't this happened in all football games to date? So you switch off a defender to someone else and you want him to carry on doing what you were doing with him? So if you were running at normal speed you want him to continue at normal speed? If you were sprinting you want him to carry on sprinting. No what you want him to do is to continue to follow the striker and defend properly.

Why don't we let the AI do all the defending for us. Maybe we can just control a striker all game. Oh yeah, it's called be a Pro.

Time when you switch player carefully and try to spot the attackers runs earlier. On thing to remember is its not always the aim to tackle the striker running though but to get goal side of him and then hold the 2 triggers and move around you like how that works with a well timed conservative tackle

instead of switching players just try and track the attacking run of your opponent with your controlled player and use the team mate press to tackle the opposition player with the ball
