Any idea when this update is being released I am still having this issues and it's really lalalalalalaing me off.

When I'm not playing on my own I have to sign out and that means my stats and time played isn;t being update! Once I get the 50hrs achievement I will probably delete the game save but I;m not until I have that!

i keep getting it to crash by doing a fake rabona in the arena and if the keeper whacks into me it just freezes, like it can't cope with the multiple collisions, i don't know, annoys me thought as it freezes the xbox too

If your on 360 and your game keeps crashing you shouild try installing it to the hard drive, however if your disk is damaged then this might not work, BUT if u just borrow or rent someone else's game you can use that instead to install the game then once u return that just start up the game with your own disk and it will just run from the hard drive.
I highly recommend you try it even if you think ur disk is 100% scratch free.

My game is installed and perfectly clean and scratch free. It plays fine until the second person touches the pad.

IT's a fault with the game!

I HAVE SORTED THIS ON MINE NOW

Just incase this works for anyone else this is how I sorted it on mine (by accident)

1. Sign out of all profiles
2. Sign in on controller 2 with a different account (ie not your main account)
3. Go to My Fifa>Profiles
4. Go to Controller 2 to and Activate (But don't set as lead)
5. Use controller 1 to sign in with your normal account
5. Go to My Fifa>Profiles again
6. Go to controller 1 and Activate, then set as lead

When I did this it crashed, I restarted and when loading it asked me the questions it asks when you first load the game. These include
1. What level do you want to use (Beginner, Normal, Expert)
2. What controller layout (Classic, Alternate etc)
3. Do you want to use Autosave

It then asked if I wanted to overwrite my previous settings. I said YES/OKAY

After this I am able to play mulitplayer again whilst signed in to my profile/account and I haven't lost any of my stats

If this works for anyone else then post here so people know.

There was obviously an issue with the saved personal settings on my account. You may be able to delete these manually to achieve the same result but I'm not sure whether you would loose any other information.

Has this worked for anyone??? My friend and I just got new 360 (Elites) and we each got new copies of FIFA 09 and we are both having the same problem. We were able to play I would say about 5-10 games but then at once we each expirienced the same rpoblem that most people seem to be having. One player mode is fine but as soon as hte second player toches the second controller to join the game it locks up the 360 and you must reboot it in order to do anything again. I will try that is qupated above as well as the cache clear. I will also try the sign ou sign in trick. Some people are saying that these tricks work but I just hope that one of them is a permanent fix. I don't want to do any of these tricks again and again each time I want to play multiplayer.

Mine has crashed lately when loading custom formations and switching players in the player select screen. Hamburg seem to be doing it a lot lately.

Also when I start the match sometimes my team or the CPU's only has 4 or 5 players!

It's never happened before, maybe it's something to do with the ultimate team update recently in the last month or so.
