Can you elaborate? I don't see this at all...
I cant really explain it just seems that when you set your defensive mentality to ultra defensive and you set your defence to deep and to stand off they still seem too high up the pitch when your backline should be in your penalty area according to the custom tactics diagram.Maybe when you can you should maybe experiment with it a bit.I think thats why the majority of the goals scored are 1 on 1's and why some games have ridicolous scorelines.Just try it out I would love to be wrong I think if this and the trapping bug get fixed and the advantage rule this game would be perfect gameplay wise.I dont like to criticise E.A as I have been playing Fifa since I was 8 back in 97'.

do you mean put them up on created players, thats what the BAP mode was put in for. i like that idea, it means youve got to work to build up players instead of using the cheat or buying points like you could in 08, its only taken me 25 games in BAP to go from 60 to 91 rated RW.

if you wanna change real players ratings but them in BAP mode and go through it to get enough exp to change them.

No. Nearly every other sports game allows you to change any player's rating regardless of whether or not they're real players or created. It isn't as if you can take the player online and tear it up with them. Madden, the NBA 2k series, PES. There's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't be able to alter ratings if you see that someone is either underrated or incorrectly rated. If someone wants to make Cronaldo a 99 in everything, so what (I don't see anybody doing that as it would most likely make the game no fun to play for them) but those that want to be more realistic about it might like to upgrade Rafael Da Silva a little bit from his current 67 rating. If you can't take the player online, then it shouldn't matter whether you edit them or not. I still don't understand why they don't allow you to do it and buying those stupid points is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I like that you no longer have the creation points, but I guess they forgot to insert the other part of that equation which would now be the ability to edit pre-existing player somehow.

As I said earlier, if this was allowed (editing players) there really would be no reason to buy new editions of the game. I think this shoold be included of course, but EA thinks otherwise.

^ How so? There's still the promise of gameplay improvements, the additions of new players, new kits, new stadiums, new game modes. Madden allows you to edit anything you want with a player. I initially felt the same way that you do, but I don't really think that FIFA's fanbase would stop buying the game (and they especially wouldn't keep FIFA 09) if this option were added. Besides, there seem to be just as many bugs in this game as Madden's had in the next-gen for the past three years so there will probably always be that promise of improvements with every iteration.

Code:
When playing in BAP mode on PS3, your player can run behind the keeper in only one direction when the keeper makes a save or picks up the ball.
This can result in being out of position because your player takes the long way around instead of running straight back out of the area.
This is probably an issue in other game modes as well, but would have less of a negative influence than in BAP.

I can't wait for a patch release. I am getting very tired of seeing guys doing the crab walk. Hasn't stopped me from playing Fifa 09 in every spare minute of my life lately though...

I am very pleased to see the side stepping glitch and the advanced rules being updated. However, there is one more pressing matter (in my opinion) and that is the offside decision. This is (to my liking) MUCH to precise. Sometimes it is hard to discern the red (offside) line from the yellow (last player) line during slowmotion. The rule is: the attacking team gets the advantage when offsite is not clear. Furthermore, I would like the officials to make a mistake on calling the offside now and then. This will increase the reality feeling enormously.

Anybody who quits an online game has their IP banned for 15 mins (or whatever it takes to stop them)
