FIFA 09 patch request - Page 3

PS3 version requires a patch for the advantage rule. I am assuming this is why for no apparant reason a card is being shown to players (red or yellow) and happens when you score, if the ball goes out to touch or you pass the ball. I can understand if this is the ref pulling play back for a previous foul but there was no foul withinn the last 5 minutes of play. In addition ,if the ref does play advantage, sometimes you can be clean through and he will then pull the play back for a free kick.
Also, chasing a ball will sometimes end with the player crab walking away from the ball just before he gets it allowing the defender to take possession.
These have all happened off line in manager mode and online with another player in uk who also experienced the same issues

This is very annoying the offside rule and advantage seemed to work fine in FIFA 08 why tinker with stuff that isn't broke, and the crab walking thing is the 100% thing they have to fix first IMO

they should make a new patch for the manager mode, on my 3rd season it keeps freezing every 1 or 2 games, nd sometimes i can get past it, but at the moment if i click play or sim it freezes, i tried taking it back and i got a new disk but it still happens, they need to make a patch to fix it.

I rang the support team last night cause my game keeps freezing in manager mode and now i cant continue i also suffer from the crab walking when ur clean thrrough i was told that they is a patch comming out soon.

Major problems are:

1.The "crab walking" away from the ball.(This is the most serious bug, It's ridiculous really.How did this make it past testing?)

2.Why is there no cup competitions in Be A Pro?(I know this won't be "fixed" as it's a missing feature rather than a bug.

3.Why can't we edit created players outside of BAP and Manager mode?

4.The advantage rule problem as previously mentioned.

why do people always assume that the testers did not find any of the bugs? do you really think something that obvious would not be caught?

whether the developers/producers/programmers want to fix the bugs is another story. at the end of the cycle when the game is about to be released, they usually pass over any open bugs in the system unless it is something that crashes the game

you can, under team management. On mine, i can edit everything about my created player outside of both modes.

Well said: I doubt they didn't see this bug. I mean, we all found this in like 10 minutes of play. For sure, they tested this more than for 10 minutes. ;-)

I hope we see bugfixes for this game, cause I'm already getting really ****ed off by some of them. I saw that Madden got a 1.20 update recently so EA does care about updates in their sport franchises. Madden is a big sport franchise, but I think FIFA sells better so I'm looking possitive towards the possibility of a patch. Not in the least cause EA recently stated that they want to gain back our (overal) trust in them.

Sorry I meant just the stats of the players i.e you can't obtain experience points for your player.

the weather such as snow and rain only show in be a pro camera view not on other cameras such as dynamic, tele etc. this need sorting or wot was the point in putting it in the game in the first place if we can see it.

Hate that bug: happens often when I play Vs human players. If you pause the game and return the players are back again (sometimes)...

pease can you have a look at goal keepers general a.i. - goalie not responding intelligently and letting slow running balls near goal go for corner kicks when they should be running to collect them - goal keeper does not always seem to charge and - goal keepers a.i and responsiveness one of my biggest criticisms of fifa 09 - please make fixing goal keeper a.i and responsiveness a priority - thank you

Trapping bug and the super high defensive line are the most important to me.Also fix the advantage rule then I will be a happy bunny of the Playboy variety.

yes the crab walking bug i really is extremely frustrating when you have hit the perfect through ball to goal and your player is not doing what you wamt them to do - why do the players do the crab walking thing - i hope this gets fixed soon as another major problem with fifa 09 i'm afraid

yes crab walking really frustrating - why does this happen?

Does no1 think that the defensive line is constantly high no matter what tactics you have?This imo is worse then the crabby walk.

You can't edit stats, the thing that matters. EA doesn't want you to be able to edit rosters, if you could, you would not buy the next years edition, you would just edit the rosters.
