What I will say is that the requests have been noted - Mr Mike Takla will be leading the foray into MM for the future - and I'm sure the numbers issue is burnt into his brain after today

Hopefully the rest of the game makes up for it.

So I should make transfers 'before' I go into Manager Mode just to change numbers? I didn't mind there being no friendlies or weather effects, but that's seriously one of the biggest things to annoy me in any FIFA game recently since EA payed attention to everything else but Manager Mode.

Is it confirmed then that it won't be patched or is there a small chance that it might? (Especially if the Mr Mike Takla is well aware of it!).

I'm just curious, is there any way that you could tell us specifically how you find out how many users utilize the changing of kit numbers in MM? It's not an online feature and doesn't even require that you be connected to the EA servers to use. Does the game somehow periodically send this information to the servers when you load it up? I mean, I seriously don't see how, for one, that feature is expensive to maintain. It seems as if it'd be no more or less expensive that having the calendar feature in the game.

Just how is this expensive, and how do you know how many people do or don't use it?

Exactly - It's a very easy thing to add. I've done programming myself at College a few years back, stuff like assigning numbers was like a practice thing for me before I did my project (Maths Activity Centre for anyone who cares).

I really can't see why they can't add it considering they now know it was wrong to take it out with the main complaints being against this.

As long as you are straight -forward when answering questions Rutter you will not take any beating. So keep it up. What people don't like is when you guys start talking like politicians. Great Job Though.

Yeh, at least one of them has the decency to tell us why it's not there, though I still can't see why it can't be patched, or rather can they be bothered to patch it... you'd expect Manager Mode things to be patched up first before they pay attention to other areas they worked the entire year on improving.

Any chance you guys could tell us what the 50G, and 60G secret achievements are.

And also if any of you would be kind enough to give me a shot at the Fever achievement add my GT: scribe313.

Just wanna say, it's great for you "personally" to introduce yourself to the forum, I guess it seems for years now our voices haven't been heard as loudly as we had hoped I'm currently living in NA, and have only heard great things from the other end of where the game has already been released, the demo was class btw.

I do have one question itching me, only slightly David, why is it that Fifa is released in Australia (Oceania), then UK/EU, and then NA? I don't understand why your all not allowed to release the game simultaneously across all regions, for goodness sake, the game is made only a province aways from me in Vancouver you think I could drive up to HQ and get me self a copy if I ask nicely?

Cheers though, hope you prosper from this years success

I have a few suggestions...

It would be much appreciated if the edit feature was made more useful, such that we could edit player height, weight, hair style, and especially greater attribute changes... There are some players with errors in some of these areas, and having a better editing system would give us more freedom to re-rate players to our liking... Granted, this feature could be abused in online matches, but not all of us play online... At least expand the editing feature for offline use...

Secondly, the addition of the 'free agents' list was terrific... Players no longer get erased when they get replaced in international callups if they happen to play for a club not included in the game... However, it would be much more useful if certain good players and/or players with real faces were included in this list as well, since it would be a waste to simply exclude these players from the game if they happen to be free agents in real life...

Also, it would be a great twist if recently retired football players could be added to the 'free agents' list, such that we could have the ability to persuade them back from retirement in manager mode, or just have the ability to use them in international callups and club transfers... This way, important recently retired players such as Zidane could still be used... It seemed to be a waste that such a great player was just erased from the series, when it would be great to have the option to use him at least in the next couple of FIFA releases...

Lastly, would it be possible to include the kits from FIFA07 and FIFA08 for the clubs and international teams? Obviously this is a lot to ask, and disk space could come up as an issue, but if it's true that the PS3 version wouldn't have this limit as much as the 360 version, it would be great to be able to use kits that were already created in the recent past, especially if those kits are more to our liking than this year's kits...

Oh, another thing... please greatly increase the number of players with real faces (perhaps focus on National Team players outside of Europe as well?)... this would increase the realism of the game by a greater extent... Especially since I noted that during the transition from current-gen to next-gen, players like Luna, Morales, Lozano, Arellano, and Blanco lost their real faces in FIFA08...

It's great to have a more direct way of voicing our opinions... I look forward to trying out FIFA09...

I'm in. 1 of only 2 members, I hope recruitment goes better tomorrow, you need at least 3 to play

So far I'm 3 wins, 3 losses in Ranked single player. Not as good as I hoped for. Some people have got very good very quickly!

Mike does more go into the xbox version than the ps3 version in terms of stability and fps?

The be a pro camera is still lightly laggy on single player, and cut scenes tend to be a tad laggy much more improved over fifa 08 mind.

And the servers seem to be all over the place, played a game at 11pm today 1v1 against my friend who lives in the uk as i do i got lag which took away the enjoyment.

Played 3 be a pro games first be a pro match had lag present, the next 2 had next to no lag which made the game feel great online.

Would be nice is the servers were stabalized to play with no lag instead sometimes lag and sometimes no lag.

I agree the editing system is minimal to say the least we should be able to edit every aspect of the players and team kits wont be allowed obviously.

Ton of great points made in this post, but these two are of paramount importance to me. PLEASE add Zidane in the next game, I don't expect a patch for this game at all this year (although I hope one could be made for the 10 v 10 with fixes that I mentioned in this thread: Petition: BAP 10 v 10 (Unranked) Patch Needed) but at least for next year see if you can get it in. But not at the expense of some of the more important features that we've been asking about.

To the second point, classic kits would be awesome. At the very least we should be able to have kits from '07 and '08. I can't tell you great it would be to have a wider array of kits to choose from and it'd just add to the authenticity and customization options already present in the game. Simply keep the same player models from this season and you'll be set. I really don't see how this couldn't be worked into FIFA 2010 though.

This is what i been saying about 15 posts! and on one said anything about it! finally someone who understands what i mean!

You are passing the ball to a open player just outside box its open as anything and he just stands there watching it go past him and by the time it REGISTERS the keeper has got it or it has gone over the sideline! i hope this is fixed in a patch! if this BUG and issue is fixed in the patch for gameplay the game would be great!

yes and this is anotehr problem also if these issues were fixed the game would be a LOT better then it already is! cause sometimes (well most times) this kind of thing happens its very annoying specially when playing ranked matches and u are about to score then nothing

Alrite EA staff, brilliant game i have to say. Well done on be a pro its class.

Just one complaint from me. When you create a tournament, you can only have 4 user controlled teams which is really annoying as its ruined alot of mine and my brothers fun in FIFA. In 08 you could have 8 so why in 09 only 4?
