Dave Rutter you seriously need to reconsider your response ("theres nothing we can do ... it must be your connection")... it most certainly isn't people's connections considering the testing I've done - to reiterate, if it was connection related, we'd be suffering the same conditions on ANY account and in ANY peer-to-peer match, including unranked. This is not the case, it seems account related in ranked matches only.

As far as I'm concerned, you and your team have not investigated this enough and gathered enough information to prove the blame on people's connections.

I posted a while back about how this forum is dominated by online play and that there is hardly any recognition of gameplay issues.

You responded that you were not a gameplay guy and that they would be on soon to answer those questions.

So, is this going to be more online discussion or, are we going to finally have gameplay/game mode guys on who can discuss these issues...

The Championship getting a UEFA spot is their way of making up for not having the Russian League to claim their rightful spots. Fix that problem by adding the Russian Leagues. They have won the tournament. Inexcusable.

I am in a MM with Liverpool right now and I just beat PSV in the quarterfinals of the Champions Leagueonly to lose to them in the semi-finals. They eventually lost to LAZIO!!?!!? who was actually knocked out in the group stage. Must be a nice advantage to have two tries at winning it all.

Weather, kits, ratings, CPU rosters, end of game/season stats. To not have simple iteams such as these take away so much of the realism in the game mode. I want to be able to see and control all aspects of my team as well as see the CPU actually control their team.

Liverpool has 33 players on their roster. Many of them are very young and would never get a first team runout right now so I loan them out just to not have 33 players to deal with readjusting each time I leave the screen. I would love to actually do it and have them come back improved and have actually played. I spend all transfer window waiting for a low-level team to come along in hopes an injury would shuffle their lineup and my guy would get a go.

Online play is always going to be such a focus and continue to be toyed with until the next years release. Once you release 08, 09, 10 MM will remain in that form. Please do all of your MMers a favor and show us you have heard are numerous posts for many of the same points over and over and over agian.

Good points, i do hope EA sort out the problems in the Manager Mode glitches thread. It's important to get the basics right before adding more depth to the mode or its just going to get even more buggy.

Nope, it's pack the midfield and backline, basically playing 9-10 men behind the ball, and then blasting an assisted throughball to your fastest player and jetting off. Nobody uses real tactics. And the custom "tactics" if you wanna call it that, are only good for turning up pressure and aggression to 100% like nearly every one of my opponents does and cheesin' it up.

To my opinion, Fifa08 was a better game, more realistic and less arcade feeling, if it wasnt for the club game option, I would have stick to it. So my question is, are u gonna make a FIFA10 as arcade or even more than 09, with all those stupid "blind through passes to Ronaldo/Torres games" or are u back to real soccer, less speed and more technic?
And please, do something about the AI, not only the goalie, but the whole game. Right now its just a cheat, in manager mode, the more you buy star players, the more the computer play fast and aggressive, it s silly.

Agree, dont let Fifa goes PES. Pro evolution soccer was the best of all before, untill they decide to do it fastpaced and unrealistic, so dont go that way please.

I will agree with the thru pass thing, and people that use 9 defenders, but most teams do have 8 players that get back to help in defense, even Barcelona. But the easy that some players have to run thru everyone is just annoying. Although I have changed my formation and tactics and I seem to be doing quite well at stopping it.

This message is a direct question to David Rutter. My dad has been playing 09 in manager mode on his 360. He now reaches a match that he can not get past after completion. The post match reaches 64 percent and then freezes totally. Music stops, and you cannot exit to the dashboard. The console has to be switched off and then re started. He tried copying the save file but that did not work either. Why is this such a common problem and what solutions are there?

Tell me how easy it is after stopping your team from scoring, to just hit out an assisted throughball and score yourself. It's not that easy to catch a team on the break unless they commit everyone forward.

There's a reason why the high defensive line and 100% pressure and aggression is so overused in the game. It works too well (unless you use all assisted passing and play a ridiculously unrealistic game of one-touch passing soccer all the way up the field).

There's a lot more in this game that makes it unrealistic. But what I was getting at is that everyone does this no matter what team they have. Barcelona isn't playing 10 men behind the ball and packing the midfield and backline in real life. Also, if we're talking real life, if you do that, it shouldn't be that easy to just lob it over the backline with an assisted throughball and have the other team's defenders (my defenders) just stand around until the ball at his opponents feet. There are too many exploits in this game that one can abuse.

There's also the issue of fatigue playing almost no role in the game. Case in point, Barcelona's Eto'o and Henry can run around the pitch for the entire 90 minutes coming back to help on defense and never getting tired. Add to that the fact that 100% pressure and aggression isn't sustainable and sometimes it's like the other team has just set up a wall where even when you see them sprinting towards you and you turn your back, they'll still just smash you off the ball without getting called for a foul. The game promotes cheap tactics and it's not as fast as they've made it in this game. It can be, but speed seems to be all that matters whereas in real life, unless you're REALLY caught out, your defenders won't watch as a guy runs by them before waking up and chasing him. I've noticed countless cases where I'd be following his attacker after a long throughball is sent to him and my player is directly between the man and ball but what does he do, while I'm controlling him? He opens up his run and lets the ball run through to the player instead of stealing it. It lalalala like that that makes me wanna stop playing.

But honestly, and no offense, there are a majority of guys that know this game isn't anywhere near as realistic and tactical as 08 was and really if you think it is an accurate representation of real soccer, you're probably like 16 years-old.
