Hi guys,

Its another one of the Dev Team here - Mike. I wasn't heavily involved in FIFA 09 as I only joined the team recently (so you cant blame me if there is things you dont like

) but am very excited about working as a designer on future FIFA's & taking into account all of your feedback wherever possible (of course there is only so many things we can do in a year!).

I'm one of the lucky few at EA Canada to have a copy of 09 (I knew bringing my PAL Xbox to Canada wasn't a waste of time!) & will pretty much be spending all weekend playing, starting as soon as I get home from work today.

I was wondering if there was any Club Managers out there that might like to invite me to their Club? If so please reply back to this message with your gamertag (I'm only on Xbox for now) & why I should join your club. Oh & if you're wondering why you would want me on your club... well I have been playing 09 & OTP for about 8 months so I like to think I'm a decent player

Looking forward to playing & chatting with you guys.

I just wanna say GREAT JOB EA. The 5-minuterule is great and I heard that you get more ranking-points if you play a lower-rated team against a higher rated one. If that's true, you've improved the status of the ranking very much. Online seems soooo much better now

First off, good job EA on Fifa 09. But there's always room for improvement next year. I want to suggest improving the player's movement off the ball.

While I know you can set custom tactics to make your team play I certain way, I always feel as if my player are stuck to their rigid formations. For example when I play a winger outwide like Robben or Ronaldo, they seem to stay outwide all the time, rarely do I see them come into the box and look for goals themselves or get on the end of a low cross. Player should be smarter to find space in and around the box as well. There are always open gaps inside the penalty area whenever I manage to run to get to the byline, but I rarely see a midfielder or striker move into those areas so I can just cut it back for them to score.

I'd like to see players in inside the penalty area make more movements in open play and set plays in order to lose their markers. For example if their is open space around the near post, then players should be able to "sense" that space and move toward it. The players defensive awareness is top notch in my opinion, but I wish the same could be translated into the attacking third.

Another thing that could be improved is the speed of players off the ball. When you send a player on a run, they run pretty slow. Players naturally run faster off the ball than with the ball. In real life you occasionally see players burst forward with all their speed but in Fifa they seem to run calmly.

You should observe an Arsenal or Man Utd game and pay attention to the players position and movement off the ball. If you can get that right then you would have created the best football game of all time.

Hello David Rutter, I dont want to complain to you about anything but if you get a chance there is a thread called "no greek league why". On page 5 and 6 i made a tribute to the greek league and all the teams in it, I would like you to check it out. All EA staff are welcome to check it out too
