Anyone reckon they'll score 20+ goals per season with Ronaldo as a winger? Didn't happen much in Fifa 08

Ronaldo is pretty much useless as a winger. The guy never crosses for **** - hope EA have changed his position to CF/ST cos thats where he spends most of his time

What would that mean? and what do you mean by saying that? that he´s not capable of doing that? he played as a winger in 98% of the games last season, what do you want?

Do you think you can make him like the top goal scorer by playing as a winger instead of a striker? Wingers don't usually get that many goals in Fifa but some do in real life.

I assume you dont watch fotball but american fotball? You sound stupid you should know that.
If he´s a ****ty winger, WHAT THE HELL IS EBOUE DOING AT THE WING?
And you should know that Ronaldo is the best player in the world...42goals as a winger, you dont watch players do that every year you know...

Settle down m8. I think he's talking about him on Fifa not real life because on Fifa he's not a goal scoring machine when putting him as a winger.

Indeed, in fifa 08 he was a running machine, like someone was running after him to rape him and he was running for his life..

i'm ****ing english....why would i watch american football?!? you see most of the games last year and see what he does. starts the first 5-10 mins as a winger then drifts in wards, then stays in the middle and pushes rooney to the right or left wing. you cant deny that he did that nearly the whole season

I think you can if you make your team a free roam team in the custom tactics.

That's one of the things I don't like about Fifa, how wingers can be so isolated out wide. I mean Ronaldo is a winger in real life but he's always scoring goals because he likes to drift toward the middle and play like an extra striker. Shame that on Fifa player out wide are only good for running.....

I will deny that but still he´s a winger and he knows himself he plays best as a winger and want to play as a winger.

In fifa 08 what I did was make Ronaldo's run's diagonally inwards.

Im not for a second saying he is a poor dribbler, but nowhere near messi, kaka or ronaldinho.

His finishing will also be fantastic. Ok 42 goals would suggest that hes a great finisher. However, the fact is ronaldo had 255 shots last season, leaving him with a terrible goals/shot ratio compared to most in the premiership. 171 of those shots came in the prem, where he scored 31-34 goals? just because he shoots alot should not mean hes a good finisher.

I garuntee someone like ruud v.n would have twice as good a ratio, a truely great finisher.

Also, free kicks....How many does he kick straight inot the wall?? He's like roberto carlos, 1 or 2 screamers every 5 years..Hes nowhere near the quality of juninho or nakamura, but garunteed he'll be among the best in the game again.

Ronaldos strengths should come with his pace, strength, heading, stamina long shots(shot power more than accuracy).

But no doubt ronaldo will be unstopable yet again, with having near perfect everything.

sigh. "

Thats a qoute i stick by from my ownthread about the same thing. 41 goals from 255 shots is not as impressive.

My original post: Ronaldo overrated again??

Opta stats : Opta Stats for the EPL season 2007-08 « About all the football that I get to watch and about some I dont
sounds a bit biased to me, oh btw great name
