Default Ronaldo overrated again??

I'm guessing ronaldo will be overrated again. His dribbling will be the best in the game when he's not among the best in the world. He uses his pace and power to pass players, not his dribbling. btw novelty step overs do not constitute dribbling. Im not for a second saying he is a poor dribbler, but nowhere near messi, kaka or ronaldinho.

His finishing will also be fantastic. Ok 42 goals would suggest that hes a great finisher. However, the fact is ronaldo had 255 shots last season, leaving him with a terrible goals/shot ratio compared to most in the premiership. 171 of those shots came in the prem, where he scored 31-34 goals? just because he shoots alot should not mean hes a good finisher.

I garuntee someone like ruud v.n would have twice as good a ratio, a truely great finisher.

Also, free kicks....How many does he kick straight inot the wall?? He's like roberto carlos, 1 or 2 screamers every 5 years..Hes nowhere near the quality of juninho or nakamura, but garunteed he'll be among the best in the game again.

Ronaldos strengths should come with his pace, strength, heading, stamina long shots(shot power more than accuracy).

But no doubt ronaldo will be unstopable yet again, with having near perfect everything.

sigh.

i wish everyone would stop rattling on about player ratings...ronaldo should be 89 not 90 etc. it doesnt make that much difference in game!!! get over it! plus they have addidas lie season to iron out any differences from launch

wow i thought this was going to be a stupid bashing of a player who is personally my favourite to watch, but you make very educated points. if you just watched match of the day and say the goals of his freekicks and the rave reviews from the 'pundits', he would seem like a good freekick taker. however if you watch every match like me you do see how often it goes into the wall.

id say he uses some nice skills to get past players, but it his his incredible strength and also his pace that wins him the ball after these skills.

i wont agree that he isnt a good finisher. i think he is one of the best hitters of the ball personally, he may take a lot of shots but he likes to shoot, even when it is a stupid distance or a dreadful angle.

I personally dislike ronaldo BUT...... he is the worlds greatest player at the moment (my favourite being messi) and the fact that he has a lot of shots is because he gets himself into great positions to take those shots due to his dribbling! And 42 goals is alot and that has to be admitted! This year though i reckon messi might come into his own and be the defining season for him.

Anyways.... there will always be arguments of people thinking some players are over and underated but its mostly personal oppinion and EA try their best to go with the stats and facts and what they think is the fairest depiction of each player.

i hope there is an 'injure' setting in team tactics, im going to kick him to bits like he gets in the prem week in week out - purely to look at the excellent collision system of course
