If i play against someone who is rubbish at the game but uses ronaldo, its **** easy because he doesnt know how to use him and what to do. So basically anyone saying, they're using Man Utd and Ronaldo, thats just an excuse, Torres is just as good on the game but you don't hear us "Ronaldo users" complaining about him! =)
i have no issue with people selecting the best teams. what i hate is when these people quit on you when they are getting beaten by lesser teams. 4-5 times tonight i had people quit on me because good old peter crouch likes scoring against Man U. in between those matches i was getting beaten alot but i didn't quit once.

back on topic, can anyone confirm an actual starting date for IWC? just would be nice you know, rather than leaving us all guessing.

Yes I agree with you, although I have stopped being Utd everytime now. It's much funner playing as a lesser team, for me I use Espanyol, and I don't think we're going to get to know when fiwc OPENS, EA obviously have better things to do!

  • You are now registered with EA online. You will need to now follow the FIWC 09 ingame registration process below.
Registered EA Online Account Holders:

  • From the Main Menu select Online Game Modes.
  • Select FIFA Interactive World Cup from the menu.
  • You are presented with a registration screen where you can enter your name and e-mail address.
  • Please fill in info and submit.
  • You are presented with a confirmation screen.
  • Please advance to select Confederation/Nationality.
  • You then end up in the FIFA Interactive World Cup hub. From here on, every time you access this mode this is the screen you will default to (since you are already registered).
  • From here you have the option to play online qualification matches for the FIFA Interactive World Cup tournament, practice offline, see FIFA Interactive World Cup online leaderboards or go to FIFA Interactive World Cup lobby rooms.
There you go guys, this how you register. I'm going to do this very soon.

The rank points that we have got at the moment, do they count or do we start from 0 rank points when registered.

Pretty sure you start from scratch because the games are played through that seperate window. I hope not though

i just thought of something. been complaining that EA servers down, cos it gives me that message when i try doing anything online on fifa 09. SO, could be since like u say, US version out today, that they are fixing Fifa Interactive World Cup option as we speak I hope that's it at least! Cos i know other people havin same problem as me, could it be?
