Why do I see this becoming a problem with online games? One guy using AC Milan's inflated beginning of season roster and player attributes xx weeks into the season, then other people using their updated FIFA Live season roster and player attributes when they are on a cold streak. And we will have to guess if we're playing against outdated inflated team rosters or updated ones.

There should be an option to enter separate lobbies and quick match only with people who have this service.

it's kinda of a cheap novelty idea to spponge even more money outta us, plus it doesn't sound that great i.e. what if Rooney etc breaks his leg? you don't get to play with him?

Just update the squads every month, that'll do, and keep your ideas to improving gameplay and reliable servers. Ta

Gamers with Xbox Live or PSN subscriptions will have access to one league of their choice for a free trial from the moment they activate it to the end of the 2008-2009 season.

Taken from the FIFA 09 website. Now, does this mean it'll be free for the entire 08-09 season?

so it wont affect who i play against online, but they wont play with updated stats.

right so they will get to play with ronaldo, while people who pay will be without him? is that not an unfair advantage to people who pay?

in fact rather than this feature which seems to be a bit rushed out. id rather them work on this and give it us in 2010 for free.

i would rather pay for a dedicated server for myself lol so not evry gm lags. just want to play games online where its the same feel as playing the computer not on the internet, if you get what i mean.

would also play for stadiums this year if they were cheap and not in selected packs.

how much do you lads think this will cost if its like 1.99 for the season for each leage fine. if its more than a fiver per league lalalalalalalala.

think they are charging for each league separatly so you get to enjoy playing with live season for one league then want it for all leagues

Il say it again... Im dissapointed with the lack of thawt they put into this... Its an ok idea but it doesnt ring any bells in my online gaming. I expected something more solid n creative. Ea just makin more wrk for themselves n for us too...lol
Hope they dnt get distracted in the makin of 2010... Uhm ja...Not so great but hey. Cant judge till its actually tested to its full potential.

but say you're playing 10v10....arsenal v inter.....50% have 'free' ONE league of Serie A or Premiership league thing....and the other 50% don't, or have a different league theyve downloaded.....how does it affect it? Sounds lala

This sucks. Its just anohter way for EA to get its hand in my pocket. So pretty much the new feature was more frequent player updates. Big whooop! And they are going to make you pay for more than one league.

When updates happen each week someone should just post the new stats from their "free" league and than everyone else can use edit to change the stats.

does anyone get what im trying to say hear. the ppl who pay are at an disadvantage online and not at an advantage for paying. thats why i hope thier is a option to search for other uses that use live season because i want to get into fiwc and i play without ronaldo and they dont ( i dont ever use man u just an example)

Read the faq here FIFA 09

Players are not removed due to injury they just are given poor form. And you need to look at it from the other side. What if a player that is somewhat average has an amazing couple of weeks causing his form to rise. If I choose not to pay I don't get to use this improved player and you do. This stupid feature swings both ways giving advantages or disadvanteges to either side. But as it said in the FAQ you have the option to turn the feature off before going online.

Regardless it is a poor idea to have a ranked online system where people are basically using 2 different sets of rules.

i love fifa 08 it has its flaws but looking over them great, and 09 looks good.

but this is the first thing which just aint going to work well, it seems too rushed would rather than bring it out free in 2010, and bring out a new feature this year called "have a good server" which enables players to play lag free matches at least evry 2 games. (ps i have a good connection)

going to be interesting to see if it works, can see this getting scraped after one year like first touch control then not in 2010. each league better be no more than 1.99 each.

can an admin confirm that you will be able to serch for other uses with live season stats if you cant its bull****, they will more likely be using better teams, and then more people resort to man u to win.

one more thing has it been confirmed that playing with lesser teams and beating better teams will result in more points being gained? sm answer this for me?

yea i see the other side mate, and like you said its stupid playing with teams one updated one not, and if you pay for something you dont really want to turn it off all the time as whats the point in buying it in the first place? the only way it might work is if you can search for sm1 else who has it. or they give it evryone for free and evryone uses it online and everything is fair.. cmon ea think about these things before carting it out.

the more i read this thread the more im getting annoyed with idiots shouting 'why should we pay'!!

your buying the game with full set of stats, teams players with a full game overhaul, like everybody does every year, but EA are offering to keep these upto date for you for the best part of a year!!! why shouldnt they charge you for it....its not asif you got that before!!!!

and to top it off they are offering a whole league for free!

whats everyones problem? this is clearly going beyond what they have ever done before. if you dont like it dont pay for it!

ea give it to evryone for free so evrything is fair online, or wait till 2010 then give it for free. we constantly give you money, what are you doing with it. cmon give something back to the buyer, like this feature for free!

also can i asked earlier has it been confirmed that you will get more points for using lesser teams and beating big teams, stopping everyone using the same teams. seems too simple but thats why ea havent done it
