^Really? Well I too have both and with the PSN being free I honestly do not believe that you get what you pay for in Xbox live at all!

Everything in Xbox Live is in the PSN except for MSN! And now with HOME coming out, Xbox live will suck harder!

so you can create a private session on the PSN & invite 9 other people to play 5v5 in fifa? you can join others session in progress? Movies on PSN?

Yes there are movies on the PSN

Hmmmmmmm you can do the 2 things you said? I guess that's cool. I really only play FIFA 08 online on my PS3 since it's free so what do you mean joining others in progress? Is it only Be a Pro?

first, you can set up a private session so only people you invite can come and play the game

and join others in progress...say you hop on live & see that your friend is playing a game, any game, you can simply hit "join session in progress" and you can join his game.

so for fifa, it means you dont have to send invite or any messages. you just go under the gamertag of the guy who is hosting the game, join session in progress and you are ready to play a game of BAP in less than a minute.

just the ease of how live works compared to PSN is much more user friendly. PS3 should have just copied live & been done with it.

and i love when people say "but PS3 has home"....no it doesnt, i dont know about you, but i havent been on it yet?

Personally, I think this is one of the dumbest/most lame additions EA could have made to this game. It is such a letdown after they promoted a fun new online mode, and then this ended up being the surprise. I have been playing fifa since 94 on sega genesis where 30 yard shots were lethal with west germany, and nothing more had me excited for this game than the possibility of having EA Sports LEague like NHL will have this fall.

I expected it to be included, but I was disappointed when i saw that this lame "live season" was the big new feature. I mean who the hell cares if the players are going to be updated once a week? With the PS3 you get more than what you pay for, 250$ more that is.

It is true that PS3 doesn't have the games but that's because of it being an entire year younger but it's now catching up and has some very good exclusives.

It just gets annoying when all you get is people posting which console is superior, but at the end of the day it comes down to what the individual wants.

This isn't really even true. Developments for both consoles started at similar times. The reason the games are so far behind for the PS3 is because the PS3 is a lot harder to program with, or at least get to grips with. With Resistance 2, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, and Metal Gear Solid 4 it's a rosier picture in terms of games, but not hugely.

As for XBL, the things which are really major are:

Cross game invites (Ability to send an invitation to anyone who has an XBOXLive account to join into your party/lobby/game. Also, players can 'join session')
Cross game chat (Ability to set up a private 1-2-1 chat with another member, no matter what you are doing)

Later in the year, Microsoft are bolstering the 1-2-1 chat, to an up to 8 person private chat. Whether the $50 a year is really worth it for what you get, is really down to the person. It doesn't really matter. They aren't competing features. The alternative to XBL isn't PSN, or vice-versa.

The 'original' Xbox got its *** handed back to it by Playstation 2

PS3 is expensive, thats why it has sold less but it has alot more features then Xbox360.
