Guess there won't be another CL EA game. Wonder why PES got it?

Good, means EA can now focus on Fifa rather than putting 2 games out every year!!!

Good on Konami also though by implementing it in PES 2009 and not ripping off customers with 2 games a year!!!

hmmm... never looked at it that way.. or ... those fat slack jawed ****s at EA could not be putting out a Champs league game and using the extra time to take extra vacation.

Don't be so quick to praise Konami. Word is UEFA is pushing Konami to release a stand alone game utilizing the CL license just like they did with EA. Everyone is always so quick to attack EA on this 2 footy games a year subject. But they don't realize that the condition of having the license is that it is a stand alone game. Which is exactly why in FIFA the tournaments don't have the Champions League and UEFA Cup names.

EA isn't ripping customers off. They offer a product and you choose whether or not to buy it.

It still means nothing. We always get to play champions league in Fifa - it's called European Champions Cup. And EA has the licence to every team that's in the champions league.

I don't think it's a loss in any way.

do you know what a license is?

hopefully the loss of the license means we will get patches now.

I dont really care about Champions League games.. I wanted EA to incorporate Champions League in Fifa games rather then releasing a whole new game for it. Im not going to pay for a game which only has 1 tournament in it !!! Sounds ridiculous to me. I only buy Fifa, not even Euro. Maybe world cup sometimes but Fifa mainly.

I would like to see all tournaments in one Fifa game, there should be World Cup, Euro, Leagues, Champions League and all the tournaments and they should be licensed. I wouldnt mind paying double for the Fifa game only if they could have all the tournaments in one game and with the Blue Ray having so much capacity i dont think space should be an issue.

Also it would be so cool in the manager mode.. Every 4 years in Manager mode we could have a world cup and every 4 years a Euro.. Would be awesome dont you think ?

Reminds me of Fifa RTWC 98. Remember, that was like the ultimate road to world cup. Imagine having something like that - a road to something - something that involves clubs, not countries.

one of the original sources that claimed Konami had the champs league also stated they had the FIFAPro License to go with it.

I would say this is a hopeful rumour for Konami fan boys, rather than any substance.

don't jump on the bandwagon!

I think they always had the FifPro, but that doesnt grant you rights to every team's jerseys. I think you need other licences for those, and that's what EA has
