Default Oh Well

I really dont like PES and always bought fifa

even though ea held the CL licence they did not impliment it on to fifa anyway so theoretically fifas not losing out it will still be called the ECC

I'm not worried anyway FIFA holds all the major licences to most of the teams and leagues so why go changing to PES? FIFA 09 is going to be a success!

Since Konami has the CL license maybe EA could get the UEFA Cup license.

I thought the last EA UEFA CL game was class for 360.....

big improvement from FIFA 07 on 360.

EURO this year didn't pan out aswell..... I like it but it just didn't seem to improve as much.

CL was poo had so many bugs and stupid stuff in it, 08 was a fast improvement on CL and Euro had some better features than 08.

I just hate these one tournament games. Please please have one game and include all the tournaments in it.. its much better that way.

Atleast you play Fifa for one whole year, if i buy WC or Euro or Champions League i play it maximum 2 months maybe.

i have no problem with these tournaments , there are many improves on these games (from fifa series) but i prefer developers focuses on the next year FIFA serie

EA won the war this year and KONAMI are trying to do something. I am 80% sure that FIFA 09 will be better from PES 2009 this year too. Maybe Konami are trying to make a new videogame "champions league PES 2008" to keap players that played PES these years. i think Konami is in wrong way and EA in the right way.

EA are trying all years to make a great football game and KONAMI only make some TWEAKS and nothing more

keep working EA!

Konami really lost the battle this year. Game looked good, but played the same like PES 2007. From the looks of things, FIFA 09 will win again this year. Alot of loyal PES fans (including myself) have moved over to FIFA. Playing PES online is a nightmare and with FIFA it is a much more pleasant experience. I see the online aspect of the game really taking off this year. If Konami doesnt do something drastic I wont be buying the game at all.

They are doing something drastic. They're coming in hard. And the thing i like about them is they're not coming up with gimmicks, A.K.A 50,000 tactic-combinations, 1,000 decision per second for each player, etc.

They're just concentrating on the game. And trust me, it's gonna be good.

I never bet for Fifa until it's out and I've played it. EA is like a wife who consistently cheats on you and apologises and goes around and sleeps with your best friend, and apologises, promising to change. But two days later, it's the same thing lol

So until I see Fifa 09 with my own eyes and play it for about 4 months or 6 months, which is what I did for 08 and which is also how long it takes for bugs and quirks in Fifa games to rear their ugly heads, I reserve my vote.

Konami got too comfortable. I don't think they thought Fifa 08 would be this good.

how is 50,000 tactic combinations a gimmick lol (their wording is clever as they are right it is 50,000 different combinations but PES has already had those combinations for years...) atleast nit pick something a gimmick is animal heads or an arena not something that hugely improves the offline/online experience custom formations is the biggest change yet for online gameplay!

I do agree about the 1000 decisions though lol tht is marketing at it's best!

but you don't know pes has improved lol it could be as ****e as last years they should have just gone back to PES6

''their just concentrating on the game'' yes that is what EA is doing by tweaking and adding things that affect the gameplay the exact thing you call a gimmick

It's a gimmick until you actually use it and it works. EA usually come up with numbers to impress everyone, but they mostly turn out to be gimmicks.

Just like Konami did with PES 2008, only their gimmicks turned out to be disastrous. Team Vision, says Konami: your opponents will change their play so that you don't score the same goals every time.

Well, I scored the same goals in PES 2008, it seemed team vision was more like blind vision.

Then their other gimmick was: diving. Christ.
