When you go to start a new MM, on the team selection screen, there is an add/replace team item at the bottom middle of the screen, I think it is square. I think you have to highlight the team you want to replace, whatever the worst team in Adalante is the one I chose to replace. After you hit the add/replace team button it will go to your created teams, it takes a second to re-order the teams, but you then should be able to take the created team. You start out in the Adalante league, and have to secure promotion to BBVA. Give it a shot and let me know that works for you.
