I think Fifa 09 will be greatly improved compared to last year. It will be a lot more than just a rooster update. And yeh, I agree, there were a lot of bugs on Fifa 08, especially online, e.g. the corner bug, constant long balls etc. Do any of you play Fifa 08 online on the PSP? Give me your online names and I will add you for a game . . .

As I sold my version of FIFA 08 PSP yesterday, I will have to give FIFA 09 a try.
Be a Pro Mode sounds great, missed it last year already. I hope seriously, that they fixed the FIFA 08 (offline) bugs: custom formations correct, player faces, and so on |

I've never tried Fifa on PSP, always stuck with PES. But I'm willing to give Fifa a go after Konami kept on updating the same old game for PES 6 and PES 2008...
Does anyone know whether we can edit players in Fifa 09 on the PSP? Mainly I'm concerned with player attributes and transferring players into a different team. I thoroughly enjoyed keeping my PES 2008 up to date with the latest transfers. Did Fifa 08 on the PSP offer any sort of player editing function? |

It's the same game! New music and new rosters can be downloaded. That's all. Ok, you have Pro Mode. But even some playing modes are missing like wall attack and keep-up. :-( :-( :-( |

Having FIFA 09 on the PSP now for a few days, I'd have to say it's a mixed bag. The stadiums look much better (and they had looked pretty good before). The ball physics are excellent as are the players when they collide. The commentary has also been updated, but the commentary is also the first glaring error.
For some reason, when two players bump into each other, Andy Gray goes off on some tangent about hard slide tackles and how one may have to leave the field. It happens over and over and over, and I can't see how anyone even remotely competent at EA could have missed this and let it go into final production. Second, the animation doesn't seem as smooth as it did in FIFA 08 or Euro 2008. You can see the individual frames cycle to make it look like the player is running. This is a throwback to the "primitive" days of FIFA 06 and even World Cup 2006. |

To make a player charge, keep pressing CIRCLE until the player has kicked the ball. To select a player in the wall to charge the kick, press X until the desired player is selected. Not sure what you mean by sidesteps, a little more info could help me but is this what your after, PACE CONTROL, if so you Tap L button then Hold L button and move analog stick around to make him sidestep slowly. |
