Pretty much what autogoal said.

Playing with keyboard/Controller with lag is already bad enough online. I cant imagine playing with a mouse at 2-3 seconds delay.

The game is one word, useless.

Offline play is buggy, unrealistic and boring. Online play is just....shockingly and annoyingly poor.

My ****ing DNF is 25%!!! I am quitting 1 in 4 games. This is the first time in the fifa series i've ever been above 10% d/c rate.

I dont think i've had too many games where I had fun playing. I am always p!ssed at my opponent, (well actually, ****ed at EA...but I have to take it out on the guy I am playing) and I never go back to say gg.

I really dont have fun playing this game, but unfortunately I cant afford PES and I'm stuck with this ****.

Sigh.

Spot on. At least now the mouse feature is implemented, they'll hopefully spend more time on more important things in 2010. Let's just hope they don't come up with another useless gimmick, eh?

okay i might sign off on this one... before i get lynched.

But listen... doin tricks is not hard with the mouse. It just takes time. If you're using the mouse movement thing (not wasd), then you hold the middle button and draw the trick... like... do a circle with it held down, or pull back then forward.

Once again, i'm gonna stick my neck out and try to ignore the sarcastic comments i'll get back....

have you guys ACTUALLY.. like REALLY tried to play with the mouse? Be honest.

Do you serisouly think the guys at EA would just throw something out without floggin it to death?

It works. It really ****ing works. And it works flipping well.

Right now i'm gonna stop posting and get back to playing.

More fool you for not serisouly giving it a shot.

True indeed I had ago and ended up getting frustrated because it doesn't work properly. I mean its like all twisted. I can't even imagine someone to play with a mouse its very uncomfortable.

Even though we saw Paul Hossack playing with the mouse he just showed off. I know 100% that in his spare time he uses either just the keyboard or the gamepad.
Infact the mouse wasn't all that bad it had the potential to be much better. But EA made it poorer. If th mouse control had been like it useto be in FIFA 99 it would've been better in my opinion.

i am a keyboard player, and the real thing is gamepad is horrible for me

its a matter of practise.. kb,gp,mouse which ever u practise u can do well..
in World Cyber Games 2008 the boy won the FIFA08 championship is a keyboard player

and also i do agree with juma that fifa09 is best among all the pc versions football gaming..

Gamepad is not horrible, keyboard is. Besides playing first person shooters like call of duty 4 and Crysis Warhead Keyboard stands no chance. I only use the keyboard to type play first person shooters, etc But definitely not FOOTBALL! Gamepad is far more conveniant. You have to buy a proper one logitech dual action. Or Saitek P990, etc not the ordinary ones.

i dont have the talent to play with gp as u dont play with mouse

i dont wanna argue nemore, its my personal choice over pes to fifa..
how much pes has been improved? u r saying pes6 was the best hahahah

I tried mouse control today and wow, the response is better than with the gamepad. But I have trouble accomplishing the simple stuff. Guess more practice is necessary.

Juma before we lynch you and Madscooter for obviously being fanboys, try the game with a game controller. I promise you'll never even think about playing with keyboard or mouse or both or either.

FIFA 09 PC is not simply the best. Lobbies suck, bugs online with scoring sucks, bugs suck, glitches suck, heading physics suck, collision system is over exagerated, defenders are effing lalalalalalaed when the ball gets close to goal / box ... etc...

Play on the Xbox or PS3, it is a lot better. Then play PES, which is arguably better than all of them.

It does not take more time to draw a skill move than to use the analog right stick. Any games have bugs. PES has even more and worse ones but you said it is the best so???

How you can say something stupid as that?
To draw a skill with a mouse you have to use 5 fingers on your hand.
With gamepad only what you have to do is to move your right stick with your right thumb while all other fingers on both hands remains on same position ready to press buttons.

Blazing speed and autogal I need to get something straight you you guys.. when you say "keyboard control"... i need to add something...

I use mouse movement, so players follow the cursor on the screen. I donlt use WASD keys... so basically I use the mouse, and only have my fingers on "space bar" and "alt" (occasionally hitting ctrl)... so interaction with the keys is fairly minor.

I agree that moving players with the WASD key would be impossible.

SO can i ask you again - have you tried it with "Mouse movement"?

(can't believe i'm gonna say this) but i'd stick out my kneck as far as to say that using mouse movement is SIMPLER than the control pad... Man i'm gonna get crucified for that one.

Keep the finger nearest your thumb (on the left hand) on the space bar, and the next finger on alt (switching to ctrl). For your first few games, donl;t even try pressing any other buttons.

Madscooter.. I am obviously better (and probably better looking) than you.

11111... use some if my tips on this thread. Keep at it.

For everyone else... ITS NOT WASD movement i'm talking about. it's MOUSE movement. I agree it would be too hard to use this, and the creators of the game obviously thought this too - hence giving the mouse option.###

Shibby - In terms of drawing tricks... this sounds worse than it is. What i'm talking about is holding the middle button and doing a very quick circle around the player. It's not that hard.

Exactly. All it takes is a flick of your thumb. I hate mouse control, it is most likely the reason why there are still so many bugs: EA were too busy implementing this crappy new system.

i hate gp also as i cant use it

its only personal choice mate..
i play best with kb, normal with mouse and worst with GP

Seriously juma, I've tried mouse control as you said and it's a very inefficient way of playing. Not to mention it doesn't get rid of the fact that the game itself is quite bad in terms of physics and gameplay and play-time graphics, especially compared to all the other football games.
