Pc keyboard control problem

HI everyone i joined the site to post this that when i customize my controls at the keyboard the keys dont fuction properly e.g. i use left shift for gk charge and when i use it nothing happens instead when i use right shift then the gk is selected why is that can any body tell me the solution i have tried every other button for gk charge but it is always selected by right shift
