Anyone else got this problem? I start the game...the widget signs me in every time no problem...then I try to connect to online modes.. It can take fifty tries (exit online ... go back on etc) before I get into a lobby or create a session. Somrtimes I can`t get on at all. Is it something I`m doing or is it just that the EA servers are totally lalalala? Either way it`s doing my head in ... Anyone know whats going on ?
It just gets worse.....now when I do finally get a game going...after about 10 seconds I get the "connection has been lost" message and it`s game over before it even got started ( and this time it`s not quitters). It happened 5 times in a row. Last edited by KenC; 05-11-2008 at 02:14 PM.. Reason: Update |

Nothing wrong with the EA servers. Either your ports are not open, firewall blocking. Or you have installed various patches unofficial that caused this problem.
I never had problems connecting online so far!

That`s nice for you that you have no problems connecting. Congratulations!
My ports and firewall are fine... i know this because when I do finally get connected I can host or join games with no problem and the lobby rooms are all available. I have a 2Mb connection which connects 1st time to Quake 4 servers EVERY time I haven`t modded the game. So it`s none of the things you mentioned. Does anyone have a similar problem or any idea what may be causing it? |

I had a similar problem and noticed that when I opened all ports(DMZ) it worked fine. Check your firewall and or router ports also try closing all programs/processes you have running in the backgroud this can also have an affect on FIFA. If you have a router try running it in DMZ mode for a short time to see if this resolves the problem if not you know it's not the ports on the router.

All is cool until I try to access online game modes and then I get a message saying "connecting to the EA servers" and most times that`s all I get. Occasionally though, if I persevere, I get connected and I can play online no problem. It`s a real pain in the ***, because I love playing online and just need my 30-60 minute fix... but I use all that time up just trying to get on...It`s very frustrating. |
