Patch 1
Changelog: Quote:
• Central Europe (and UK) - English/French/German/Italian/Dutch • Rest of Europe and Brazil - English/Spanish/Swedish/Danish/Brazil • Eastern Europe - English/Polish/Czech/Hungarian/Russian • North America - English/Mexican Patch 2 Changelog: Quote:
• Central Europe (and UK) - English/French/German/Italian/Dutch • Rest of Europe and Brazil - English/Spanish/Swedish/Danish/Brazil • Eastern Europe - English/Polish/Czech/Hungarian/Russian • North America - English/Mexican Old file not found: This message is caused by any of three problems -
What patch do I need for my game version? If you're unsure as to what version you have: - Open the registry - Go to Start - Run. Type regedit and hit ok. - Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA Sports\FIFA 09 There you should see something like this: ![]() Depending on what it says under EADM ContentId, you will know what version your game is: fifa_2009_ukfrdeitnl is Central Europe (and UK) - English/French/German/Italian/Dutch fifa_2009_ukessedkptbr is Rest of Europe and Brazil - English/Spanish/Swedish/Danish/Brazil fifa_2009_ukplczhuru is Eastern Europe - English/Polish/Czech/Hungarian/Russian fifa_2009_ukmx is North America - English/Mexican Alternative: Getting the patch to work using EA Download Manager When you run the game a message about a new update should come up. When the message comes up leave it open (i.e. don't click yes or no), then navigate to: C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EADM\cache\{ Anonymous } Then wait for the fifa_2009_ukfrdeitnl_patch.exe/fifa_2009_ukfrdeitnl_patch2.exe (or whatever yours is instead of ukfrdeitnl) file to download fully, it'll be 2.74MB (patch 1) or 9.03MB (patch 2) when it does. Then run the file... Should be all patched. Last edited by nutunited; 01-11-2008 at 10:05 AM.. |

Yeps, good move. But why has nothing been done about the myriad bugs in the game?
The disappearing players. The ball going through the bar The constant collisions by team mates and many, many more. I had hopes for this patch, but now I'll know not to raise my hopes so high that EA will actually kill some bugs in their patches.

True, I mean if you did run out of installs, is it really that much of a big deal to have to contact EA to be able to install again? EA, there were far more important things relevant to gameplay that needed fixing!
Edit: I take it back, for me, the whole game has been significantly improved, offline as well.

Nice OP , now i just have a more serious games online with better goalkeepers :O , still EA sports need to improve a Loooooot to even come close to Pes2009 , and mostly i am referring to the BALL and the PLAYERS , EA managers : just go there and buy pes2009 and play it and see the difference , on PES2009 you can pass 20 passes from same spot on the field and still u wont be able to do same pass again , thats is true with shots too .And the players are awesome , the movement and the head chalenges in the air and ECT ECT ... everything about pes2009 , if EA managers copy the technology and make a fifa 2010 with the mouse/keyboard control like in fifa 2009(the only good thing this year) , then fifa 2010 maybe will be in my home too.
PS : i wont buy fifa 2010 only after i read 2 mounths the forums and see if it is worth buying it , not making the mistake of this year. |

Thanks nutunited!

Disappearing players hasn't been a problem for me. Ball going through the bar, Has - 5 times. The constant collisions by team mates - Every single game. This really needs to be first on there priority list.

Definitely. The 2nd patch especially improves the game offline as well as online. World Class now means World class, for the keepers as well as the overall game; in fact, there is now a difficulty level to suit everyone. The AI's defending is better, it's no longer so easy to just slide a throughball to a nippy striker, the team mate collisions appear to be reduced, there are numerous new cinematics for goal celebrations and some of the broken cinematics are fixed. I'm fairly sure you need the first patch as well, if you want to install the second patch.
