Fifa 2010: Free kicks where the actually was.

For Fifa 2010 i would like to see free kicks in exactly where the foul was. For example:

Here is the orginal foul (Note: It's basically on the throw in line)

And here is where the Free Kick is taken (Note: Not on the line)

Odd?
Certainly seems like it. I think the Fifa developers should think about this in FIFA 2010, because it would certainly make the game seem more real.

I didn't notice that before! You're right, it happened to me just now, the freekick was taken a few yards away from where the foul happened. Sod 2010, I want that fixed in the patch!

If there are no dramatic improvements being made for Fifa 10 I don't see the point in anyone purchasing it if truth be told. Especially for those who like to play online!

yeah i've noticed this before but i've never though about posting it!
I hope they put it in a patch, but tbh i don't see them doing it soon (:

exactly. I love Fifa and nearly everything offline this year is perfect, but online - terrible!

If 2010 improves the heading physics and keeps everything else the same (other than the bugs such as stamina, ball through bar, team mate collisions), then I'll certainly buy it.

@KingFisher: Any luck getting at Legendary mode?

yah, this bug was there since fifa 07, free kicks always get pushed forward for around 10 metres.

Yeah, that does happen. But it can't be in exactly the same place can it? if real refs can't put it there, why should a game?

it is a very old bug of FIFA

and it becomes more serious when u foul ahed of the Dbox, they take the free kick just infront of the box..

this one has been annoying me for a long time. Even though in reality, the ball is never placed _exactly_ in the correct spot. This isn't reality. It's a computer game. The CPU knows _exactly_ where the foul took place on the field. And should be able to place that ball in the _exact_ spot the foul was made.
I would rather see it be exact than be adjusted by about 10yards or so towards the goal you're shooting at.

i'm pretty sure that a ref will never get it perfect but at least they get it within a metre or so.

All the more the game should get it correct! It's the computer, they know exactly where to put it. They should just vary the location by a half a metre or so at most, instead of putting it like 10 metres ahead.
