Slow Main Menu

I've been playing FIFA09 for a couple of days on my PC. The main menu is really slow. The menus during gameplay are fine, they work at normal speed. But the main menu, at all levels, is really slow. It sucks coz it takes a long time for me to start the game. I play the game at near high setting without any problems, no slowdowns and great graphics, but the main menu. SUX.
Any suggestions?

I don't have problems like this. However other people have had issues like that and they sorted it out by updating their latest graphics card drivers.
Some have also suggested that removing some of the Widget Manager(s) increases the performance speed of scrolling through the menu.

Try first updating your latest graphics drivers if that doesn't help then removing some of your widgets there's a small circular icon with a rectangle on the top in main menu, click on it and tick off various widgets that are not important to you. This should effectively eliminate slowdowns in main menu!

I have the latest drivers...i think the widgets is the issue...there r just too many and for no reason....thanks

I had the same problem... my card was nVidia 8600gt... the game ran in full settings high... nice during the game... but in menus... OMG... I dont know what is the problem...but i have not updated my card since July... im playing now in my brother's pc, nvidia 7800gts 1mb ram and also run with all settings(except depth field)
