Has anyone tried this yet:
http://files.fifax.net/fos/fifa09/stad.exe The original was in Russian, so I google-translated it. It was posted at SoccerGaming, if it works, it will add an absolute ton of stadiums to the game.

I'm not getting my hopes up, did a google image search, http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/1...7133932bx1.jpg this is aparently Elland Road for FIFA07 and given that these were supposedly the same in FIFA08 and it seems too early for FIFA09 for these to be anything other than the same stadiums.
As a comparison, and the only pic I can find with a similar angle, this is a pic of Elland Road for PES6 http://img366.imageshack.us/img366/2637/leeds3rx5.png Its not perfect but its close, I've been using a converted version of that is PES2008. When you've tested it, please can you post your opinion on Elland Road (assuming the patch works)? Last edited by PhilLUFC; 23-10-2008 at 08:54 AM.. |

It's the same Elland Road as the original but all the stadiums work fine. Still has old sponsor Bet24 and still has sponsors on the top of the family stand. The sponsors are also wrong on the top of the kop and the stlyle of writing all over the stadium is wrong. The ground isn't full like before but the kop looks a bit desolate and in real life the kops allways sold out.

http://files.fifax.net/fos/fifa09/stad.exe Edit: Seems to be down right now, but that's definitely the link for the d/l.

Ok i just downloaded the Stadium pack. Unfortunatly, its all in russian the setup instructions :P but its pretty easy to navigate using your judgement if youre used to installing games or what have you. So you'll be fine. If not, trial and error always works.
When you start setting up it will begin the cmd installation. This takes a while, i think it took me roughly 10 minutes maybe a bit less? give or take anyway. So if theres any impatient people out there, be patient.

Does it give you a choice of where to install it? If so, make an empty folder and install it there. Once done, check it out, so you have an idea of what it changes. Go to Fifa 09 and back up any files the stadium pack changes, then reinstall the stadiums again, this time installing it in Fifa 09 root directory. If anything goes wrong, all you need to do is use your backed up files. It's generally a good idea to back up files before modding them, just in case.
So, has anyone experienced any major problems with this pack and does it assign the stadiums to the correct teams, for example, do Everton now have Goodison Park?

Done that mate got another FIFA09 folder on my 2nd HD.
Goodison Park is there yep. Looks decent! Only bug is, you cant really call it a bug, that when i was playing at goodison, they had Keijan, our old sponsor from about 4 seasons ago on a couple of the add boards, but appart from that, it was fine! Pretty good modelling. There are more masses of crowd too, they're not as spaced out when you look at them head on. Obviously it still looks *** when you see it side on. But, appart from that, it's pretty damn decent!! Expect a few old Ad-boards knockin about on other stadiums but it isnt really a big issue. Whoever did it has done a great job, i'd recommend it to everyone. Just to let you know too, it assigns the stadium to the home team automatically, so you dont have to fiddle. Enjoy!!

The Doctor76, Thanks very much for finding this Stadium Pack, It is brilliant and makes the game loads more realistic. Anyone who has'nt downloaded it I advise you to do so, you may have to wait a while as the site is often down but be patient (also be patient on download, it takes a while). Here is the link again http://files.fifax.net/fos/fifa09/stad.exe it's in Russian but easy to do.

I've got it now and it seems to work. The stadiums look ok, predictably, there are no floodlight effects at night (apart from the shadows of the players) and the ball goes through adboards and stuff like that, but it makes a big difference to go to loads of different grounds in the one league!
However, I am noticing lag that wasn't there before, anyone else getting that? Edit: Just noticed I had Brothers in Arms running as well (forgot to shut it down), that might be why... Yeps, that was it. Baker and friends were causing Fifa 09 to lag, ok now though. Edit: With 150 stadiums, there might be some with problems; post any problem stadiums you see here. Edit: The stadium that's assigned to Brazil as their home has a terrible looking pitch, no texture at all. Maybe going into DB Master and giving it a different pitch type might solve that. No pitch markings on Romania's home stadium. Again, DB Master might be able to sort that. Nope, didn't work, so just assign them a completely different stadium.
