For me the problem was a slight lag (first a small one and right after that a little bigger one) about 3-4 times during a match. Nothing fixed it... It doesn't seem to have a normal behavior (it can happen anytime, with any game circumstance). Tried that render mode thing but it didn't help.... To say the truth it did something... It made my game jitter/lag all the time!!!!!!!!!!

Geforce 9600MGT + Latest drivers
Besides that anything is going smoothly ingame. Any ideas?

No because i thought with all those stuff written here, i could make it work. As it seems the gamepad is the one that makes all this. I tried playing with the keyboard and it didn't lag... Any ideas now?

Sadly I found this same problem in testing for the controller fix thread - the game lagged even though I was only emulating having a controller attached, it wasn't even a real one! Not sure if there is a solution - you could try using xpadder, which allows a gamepad to simulate keyboard key presses... Then you could play with your gamepad and it'd think you're using the keyboard... Otherwise I'm not sure - maybe try upgrading your gamepad drivers (or even in some cases downgrading to windows default might help)

I'd try the dell site first, but either should work (though the ATI site driver may be newer). Is that card even supported though? Make sure you meet all the system requirements by using the System Requirements Lab

i tried the system requirements lab and passed the test the problem is that when i download the vga driver from ati site the system reads the vga as ati radeon express series with 700 mb memory and my vga is up only to 512 the driver from dell site works good but i think it is not the latest driver
by the way i had aproblem becaues of that driver issue i was running pes 2009 with my old vga driver when i changed it the game reads my vga memory as 64 mb so it didnt work so i went back to the old driver the vga memory back to 512 but the game still reading it as 64

Since this thread is about how to get the most of that game, I'd just like to add: Get the second patch! It significantly improves the game offline and online; for one thing, levels below Legendary are now a proper challenge: World class means world class! For those who still want 10-0 scorelines, there's always amateur/amateur.

I have the Core2 Duo P8600 (2,4GHz)...
And I am using the latest gamepad drivers (6.3 I think)...
The game is really smooth except those 5-6 (at the most) little lags which are very annoying, as everybody understands.

@nutunited: I am afraid i cannot downgrade now (Vista). Vista keeps track of the latest drivers and reinstalls them as soon as i replug the gamepad. I think i have to search the Saitek website for an answer...

Thanks everybody for the help.

vw9ACTOR, Look at the first post on this thread and just click on the link to the download you want to install, follow on the usual way. The stadium pack is very good.

It's confusing. From what I remember, it's an installer, so you just click and follow the instructions, except....the instructions are in Russian!!!! If you can picture an English installer, just click the buttons as you would normally, although the language is different, the layout is not. Has anyone got step by step screenshots of the installation, so it's completely clear to me fellow Actor?

The net patch is applied like this (from the readme):
Quote:
1 - Copy everything and Paste it into the Fifa 09 installed Directory it will ask for overwriting click "yes"

2 - run "Install Net Patch.bat"

3 - Follow the instructions

4 - after it is finished

5 - Goto Fifa 09 Data Folder e.g. X:\FIFA 09\data\ (where 'X' will be partition of your hard drive where you have installed the game)

6 - run "FIFA 09 Fix.bat" wait for a while

7 - When finished run the game and check the Goal net

Enjoy!

the title of this post is "How to get the most out of FIFA 09". If you want to get most out of FIFA 09 then its logical solution to play the best version of this game thats PS3 version.
And I said this in semi-joking way.

And regarding nutunited: I think that he has no sence of humor at all. Thats my opinion and I have all rights to have my opinion.

Yes well, as hysterically funny as you no doubt are... I find myself struggling to laugh at your 'jokes'... Hmmm, maybe that's unfair - you might have said something funny once I think that was an accident though
