"BRAVO"

Another great thread!!

The render rate mode thing is really doing my head in though, i honestly can't decde whether it actually improves the gameplay for me so i've just left it on 7, i've got a headache from keeping openign and closing fifa lol

Thanks man

Yeah, it seems to work well for some but little noticeable difference for others It does often help with the stuttering problem though...

Render rate @ 2 is perfect for me; Makes my fps constant @ 60.

here's a conundrum for you then....

I've got 2 displays hooked up to my computer, a 15" dell lcd and my 32" lcd tv and obviously the native resolutions are different.

The dell is 1280x1024 and the tv is 1366x768, i've tried it on 1366x768 but the dell monitor can't handle that so it just crashes the game but then when i use 1280x1024 the gameplay just gets too stuttery, why i don't know but it does so i'm having to play on 1024x768 which aint great i know but at least the game runs smoothly.

I have a weird blurring affect on the jerseys when the players are running. I have a dual core system with a 9600GT graphics card. Any ideas???

Have you tried just unplugging the dell monitor? If both are on when playing the game your GPU is doing a lot of work

Does anyone know how to get rid of the transparent roof with that net? I've tried all the AA/AF/Vsync/DoF off fixes. Changing LoD does nothing, either. I've used a net from another site, it doesn't have a see through roof, but the design of the net just looks wrong.

Thanks

But the nets were posted by Arslan, so I can't take credit for making them!

Yeah, this happens with my laptop too - I don't know why and I can't seem to change it... I guess with some graphics cards maybe it just doesn't work properly

I've updated the first post with links to Wan_Car_Lhos's fatigue/stamina fixes for those who are finding the fatigue to be a bit over the top! I mean it's a nice addition, but its way overboard (particularly in lower leagues)

The affinity tip should help a lot of people, because they probably don't even know that FIFA 09 is not taking advantage of their dual cores. Thanks for the tip

The affinity doesn't still make it natively use two cores though. I guess all it does is that Vista prefers giving the instructions coming from the game to the second core.

There's no excuse for a game not being optimised for dual core! How long have they been around lalala??

Well I never denied that Doc. Indeed its a shame, when almost ALL games have started taking advantage of Dual Cores. Its a real big black dot in the advancement of technology.

They've been around for a LONG time, and nowadays are defacto anyways, no single cores come out now.

Sorry, didn't mean it to sound as though I was having a go. As you said, nearly all games are taking advantage of dual core. All games companies are releasing PC versions superior to the consoles and dumbing them down for the consoles; only EA are doing it the other way round and only EA Sports at that. From what I've heard, the PC version of Burnout Paradise is looking fantastic: better than the consoles, in fact.

It's NutUnited's good work mate, give him the credit. I don't actually make mods (I wouldn't know how to), what I do is test them (if I can backup the part of the game that it changes, in case it messes the whole thing up) and offer my feedback and suggestions on how to improve it.
