Ive deleted the other controller option in device manager, and now everything is perfect.....
apart from the no minor problem, of the pad rumbling/vibrating from the game loading, no matter what i do, the pad rumbles, obviously i cant play like that.
apart from this everything is now working fine.
so how can i stop the pad rumble? hopefully its a simple setting in the devdata.dat?
im almost there, just need rid of the rumble!
even when i turn vibration off, it still does it.
When i make any amendments however to the controller config in ingame settings, it never remembers the changes, so it seems vibration is set to off regardless of what i do. i wonder if turning vibration on makes a difference... but i have no way of finding out.

Hey guys, I've made an update to the first post regarding getting PES style controls to work properly (i.e having pass and conservative tackle on the same button without 2nd defender pressing every time you try and tackle), and also changing your vibration settings.

Great post worked well for me, I have the gamepad setup exactly how i want it.

BUT now I cannot progress past the controller select screen when I play online games. I can move my controller over to my teams side, but no button I press makes me "ready". How do I set this?

I have set buttons to "continue play"and also "advance", but these or any other buttons I press will not make me "ready". Therefore I cannot play any games online.

Desperate call for help.

I have a Double Vibration Controler 3 from Leadership (PS2/USB) and the gamepad does not vibrate.
The right analog is seems to be wrong, wen i try to make a long run with the ball i have to press down the analog so it run further to the right.
And i am trying to discover how to make my square button to be the shot and the caller for the second player help.

So you can select your team offline but not online? What controller is it? That is weird...

For the vibration, change the last number in each of your 'double vibration controller' lines to 1

I'm not sure I understand what you mean about the right analog stick You mean when you knock the ball in front of you using the trick stick it doesn't go straight out in front?

Unfortunately the finesse shot is Switch Player + Shoot, there isn't any way to change it sorry!

My control is PS2/USB and it has 12 buttons.
Wile i am running with the ball controlling with the "left analog" and i want to run further with the ball using the "right analog"
I have to press the "right analog" down to run with the ball a bit further to the right and up to go left and left to go up and right to go down... i dont know how to explain this better. It seems my right analog control is with the X and Y buttons swapped and i dont know how to fix.

And i want to make my square button to kick the ball and call for help takle and the pass button to make standing takle.
Button 3- pass and standing takle
button 4- Shot and help takle.

I don't know why the game didn't come like the play3 version, i saw the game in PS3 and it has a lot of dribling explanation that in the pc doesnt have.

Your axes are inverted, the correct code for your pad will be the second one that the excel file outputs

As for getting pass and standing tackle and shoot and call second defender on the same button - read the bottom of the first post about getting PES style controls to work properly!

Your pad is one of the few that the game refuses to recognise as anything other than default pad. So just change the default pad (controller) code lines to what you want. Same goes for the devaux.txt file...

in devaux.txt i just have keyboard and keyboard and mouse, no controller vibration option then :/

I can't seem to open the excel link as posted in the initial thread. Any ideas why? All I get is an error message with something like;

"may be in use, or read only, or the correct path is invalid" etc

Even though hw hard i try to change my gamepad still ignores it !
tried it with Fifa 08 and there i was able to customize controls !
But not in Fifa 09

Honestly, if you do this correctly then i'm pretty sure it 100% works. If you've done what is said using the excel file and added it into devdata and your controller still doesn't show up then just simply replace the code block underneath where it says [Default Pad|Default]

Then your controller name still won't be shown up but it will be listed as 'Controller' in-game and will have the correct config that you just set up using the excel file.

you saved it to your computer and then tried opening it and that's when that message comes up?? can you list the exact message please.
