Default Most Online Players are tech nobs

After carrying out extensive research , (well almost a whole nights worth) I`ve come to the conclusion that 9 out of 10 players that one encounters online has absolutely NO CLUE what a port is let alone configure them to play fifa 09. As an experiment one night recently, every time I got a player with no team in the box next to mine (you know what I mean!!) I asked in the chat : Have you configured your ports? To my astonishment almost all who were not able to connect answered "what do you mean?" or "how do I do that?" or similar. Thats what you are up against. Add to that the fact that the EA server is dreadful, communication by chat is woefully inadequate, and the game invite system is lalalala....... Then you have all the makings of an extremely frustrating and rage inducing experience. I love the game offline..... but it`s just not as exciting as playing a fellow human. My theory is that EA are making the online experience a pig`s abortion so that we`ll all be forced to go console. Did you notice how few copies were available for PC this year ? Some outlets had NONE at all.

do you live in the usa. i agree with them not caring about the pc. i went into gamestop and there was loads of fifa 09, for the 360 and ps3. i went up to the register and asked if they had fifa 09. he's like "i should" he looked around the store, went into the back room, came back, opened a drawr that had some papers and in there was fifa 09 for the pc (there only copy).. i was like huhh w/e and bought it and left. Gamestop was the only store to have it for PC in stock.
