Fifa 09 online - semi-pro disaster

Hello fello FIFA players,

May I start by saying that have never posted upon the Fifa forum and to date, have never felt the need to as I have always been relatively satisfied with the FIFA product. I have purchased a FIFA product every year since I moved away from kick-off and sensible soccer on the Amiga many years ago.

I purchased this year's incarnation and although the overall package has improved, must state that I am bitterly disappointed with the decision of the EA team to set 'ranked' online games at semi-pro level. I am an average to good player and have found that online, in my first 3 games, that scoring goals was nothing more than child's play. I scored a total 21 goals in 3 games and found that almost every decent shot hit the back of the net with no goalkeeper resistance at all. It was so easy to score, probably easier than upon any FIFA game that I had played before. This has totally ruined the online experience for me.

I do not understand why EA, as an experienced games producer, would make this decision which has, in my view, set the game experience online back many years. After all, most posts on the FIFA 08 forum complained about soft goalkeeps and soft goals. This, coupled with the current problem of connecting to players online has left me disappointed with my investment in FIFA 09.

I am writing this post really hoping that you all support my view and that the EA team will make the appropriate changes so online players can enjoy a more rewarding experience.

Indeed, I agree 100% The online goalkeepers suck!

I'd like to agree,but i'm one of them players that get's 10 goals scored against (i'm just rubbish

)

But from what i read this is an issue that needs sorting.

you need a patch. It can be found if you look elsewhere in the PC Forum.
Yeah the online isn't very good this year at all; although you can change the goalkeepers online ( I think - Instead of going " Quick Ranked Match" you go Create Ranked Session), the "ready to play is greyed out".
Oh well - i hope a patch is released for this soon.

The "ready to play" been greyed out is due to not having the correct ports open.
