Yes it is true that FIFA 07 lagged a lot on Vista from many complaints as Vista was not released at its time. But 08 is a lot improved. I have no worries with 09 there's no lag man. I don't know maybe you have bad graphics card or low RAM?!

Hi disable superfetch: How to Disable SuperFetch on Windows Vista « Windows Vista For Khmer… . This might help if you have a slow hard drive.
Also go on task manager by pressing ctrl alt delete and clicking task manager, then open up game ( Fifa 08 ). Then press alt tab to come out of the game. Go on to task manager and click processes. Then click on image name and then look for fifa08.exe . It will be in alphabetical order. Then right click on fifa08.exe and press set affinity, make sure all the available boxes are ticked, there should be two (One unticked. Tick this). Then press ok, minimize task manager and go back to fifa 08 and see if it runs better. Finally make sure you have the latest nvidia drivers and don't have any apps like antivirus scanning. Hope this helps.

Or perhaps you can try, run compatibility mode on Windows XP.
So right click FIFA 08 icon, go to properties, compatibility mode, select Windows 2000 or XP and see if the performance improves, if not, follow Priends suggestion

I had Windows Vista Ultimate and FIFA 07 didn't run very well, but FIFA 08 ran perfectly.
Now I changed back to Windows XP and the game runs smoothly, but one thing: FIFA 07 and UEFA Champions League 06/07 doesn't run very well, even with my Windows XP. Why would that be? Patches appear on the player's shirt's, showing skin. |
