What do you suggest there be if there is no soundtrack? if you heard just one music track repetitively looped over (like in PES 6) instead of proper songs i bet you'd be complaining then.
Hmmm yes totally agree with you there, I am kinda finding it a bit annoying with PES 2008 same music as PES 6.
It is true that despite music being not so important it also makes quite a lot of difference at least it refreshes your mind!

The soundtrack has been there since the early FIFA's. Nobody is saying that it's a new feature here, it's just (as with every year) the soundtrack gets announced before the game.

If you don't like listening to the soundtrack, you can just turn it off. No need to spin every single thing to make it sound like a bad thing.

I personally dont care about the soundtrack, what I want is authentic cheers from Stadiums, like Argentina's Ole ole ole! ole ole ole ola! ole ole ole cada dia te quiero mas! soooy Argentino! Es Un Sentimiento! Que no Puede Para! Especially that cheer from the Argentina-Holland game of WC 2006

Or you can grab the excellent music changer and use whichever songs you want! You can even grab songs from Fifa and use them as normal mp3s (or put them in GTA!!!!)

Agreed, I'd much rather have completely authentic cheers as well. Never mind, there's a chant pack here:

BruNoLoKo - International Chants 09 - Soccer Gaming Forums

but it's huge (821mb) so beware if you have a monthly limit...
