You will need to contact your local EA territory for the latest information on release dates.

As long as you can do everything you can do with the gamepad that you can do with the mouse.

Hey EAUK staff,
what about the sound in the game? Is there any improvement?

Please read this thread: Surround sound for FIFA 09?
Thanks!

@EA Mods: When do EA start making the Fifa discs? Is it just after the transfer window closes, because a hell of a lot happened today!!

They're going to have a shot at Ronaldo in January. They'll tempt United with £130m!

You know, that could actually back-fire on City in a spectacular way. Fair enough, we'd lose Ronaldo. But with that money, we could get Villa, Ronaldinho, Kaka and a world class defender as well and put in very decent bids for all of them. I believe that would make up for the loss of one player who was going to swan off to Real Madrid anyway!

This Arab guy is living in cloud-cuckoo land and doesn't know a damn thing about the rivalries in English football. Does he really think that he can happily hoover up all the best players in the Premiership such as Torres, Fabregas and Ronaldo? He's off his bloody nut with all that money! It's gone to his head!

Man City have no real successful history of any type whatsoever. They're not a big club historically speaking and never will be. Piles of money does not turn you into a big club. Now that they've come into this money, we'll see if there are actually any players out there who want to play for a club because of its history and pedigree, or if they are all, indeed, money grabbing mercenaries. My money's on the latter.

i laugh at you fools who bad talk Man City.. a team has to start somewhere, doesnt it? Do you think Man Utd, or Real Madrid, or Juventus were big teams always? Before you can walk you first have to crawl. I don't care what small trophies Chelsea had won recently, but before Abramovich bought Chelsea, they hadn't won the league in 50 yrs, and since then they've won two and finished 2nd twice as well, going to the UCL finals, and winning little cups as well

True, but Man City have been crawling an awfully long time, haven't they? And they'd be crawling forever without this undeserved injection of cash.

All respect to EA, still dont get fooled its not Next-Gen Gaming. Maybe Fifa 2010 and Fifa WC 2010. Apart from that I cant wait to just play the demo, if you heard im having problems, please look under the thread with the fifa 09 demo download links.
Thanks

The modders are already getting ready to get stuck into Fifa 09 PC...

Why is the PC version better/equal to the console version:

* The cinematics, the close up, are excactly the same!
* Console version costs $59.99, PC version costs $39.99. You will be paying $20 basically for a better looking public and graphics that are rendered better and a grass that looks better
* We can patch FIFA, kits, stadiums, grass, sound... you name it. We are already discovering how to edit the crowd of FIFA, imagine your team chants done by GamningAccess patch makers, Kit Raptor, Demo Raptor... the format hasn't changed!
* A lot of people like the keyboard and mouse controls of the PC, that is unique to the PC
* If you don't like the game, you can't return it. Try selling it on Ebay?
* In PC you can use the Xbox 360 controller, the PS3 controller, or any other gaming keyboard/mouse or gamepad that you prefer.
* In PC you can talk for free with a friend using Skype while playing the game, in the middle of the game you can both return to Windows and see each other trough web cam, or you can play against the PC while talking with your co-worker or buddy. I like the fact that PC isn't isolated as going to the living room and doing nothing but playing Xbox or PS3

It's wrong in one area, you can return it if bought instore from HMV, they do exchanges, but not refunds.

Edit: Just come across an image from Fifa 2003 on PC. It shows flag waving and so on in the crowd. Why has this aspect been going steadily backwards ever since?

I'm new here and it would be nice if anybody will explain me if Be A Pro Mode will be upgraded? I mean if we'll be able to play more than one season? In FIFA08 it was only one season and actually it's hard to grow my player for superstar.

I just don't get it. What's the impossibility of making... say... a 5 seasons Be a Pro? (not to mention 10+ seasons..)
