I've been looking at some more screenshots and, when the sun is actually shining fully on the pitch, the colour looks quite good. It's when it gets a bit more cloudy that it takes on the astro turf look.

Come on, we haven't seen any proper videos yet, so you can't say anything about the movement.

I can most probably esure you that the movement will be the same! Only graphics has been developed! And that's again EA's strategy to manipulate through fancy graphics.
If gameplay was differenet EA will automatically classify it as next generation despite the fact that it would still be current gen. But since they don't mention anything about the gameplay and that its still in the current gen category then its most likely that little or nothing has changed at all.

Exactly! I mean, look at games like GriD and DiRT!! What is EA's problem with the PC? Nearly every other game, the PC version is the same as the consoles (apart from Spiderman etc).

The most shocking thing about it is how so many people, including myself, have accepted it for so many years.

Then there was a rumour circulating around on the internet last year that NG would definitely come to the PC this year. But surprise, or no surprise, EA are still holding back. They just can't do it. They would rather shoot themselves in the foot and force you to play their competitor's game: PES.

Then they talk about wanting more people to always think of sports games as being something that MUST be played on a console. Why? There is no good reason why a sports game shouldn't be played on a PC.

The argument about complex AI in Fifa gets quite thin when you look at the bigger picture and notice that EA have the same policy of producing lalalala PC versions of their whole entire sports catalogue. Most of that PC sports catalogue is now scrapped. Another shot in their own foot.

Even Golf, which doesn't use a quarter of the AI that Fifa uses, EA Sports will produce an excellent so called "Next Gen" version on consoles, but keep on reusing the same old out of date tired engine for PC. The engine will be patched and patched and patched year in and year out so many times untill I feel sorry for it.

But the dilemma is this:

Either, people are put off buying the extremely poor quality from EA Sports, then EA Sports use the low sales argument to justify having low numbers of employees working on the next year game. Which they then use as a point to justify continued laziness. Which reduces sales even further. Then when the sales are low enough, they discontinue production for the PC platform.

Or, people continue to give healthy sales to EA Sports, which sends the wrong message to them that their poor treatment towards PC gamers is acceptable. PC gamers have been treated so badly for so long by EA Sports that even the addition of some super tall 3D grass creates waves of excitement on the forums. It's like starving a dog for months, and then giving that dog a single bread crumb.

So now they know they can continue to get away with it, because they don't really have any intention of ever changing.

I think the sad truth is this: EA Sports have a very difficult to remove, stone cold mentality and very odd tradition from (Peter Moore and also previous presidents), that simply views the PC in a completely different way than all other games companies. Including other divisions of EA, such as the excellent Need For Speed producers.

They just can't let go of that old mentality that says "we can't take our own sports games on PC seriously, so how should the consumer". This is where the catch 22 thing starts, because if they don't take it seriously, then PC gamers can't.

The PC version is still very far away from the NG gameplay and graphics...it's not even a 50-50% mix between the two generations.

I'd like to have a 'quiet word' with the person who's responsible for Fight Night not being released on PC.

128mb video card might struggle, what make and model is it? Also, say '2ghz'. No one uses mhz anymore. Better to have 2gb RAM for games these days as well.
