True, I forgot, I've heard Germans shouting 'JAAAA' when a goal goes in. Can you imagine how funny it would sound if Italians shouted 'Siiiii', or French shouted 'Quiiiiii'!!!!

What i really want in fifa 09 is the next gen skill moves from fifa 08. I was gutted when i found out they weren't on fifa 08 for pc. So these skill moves they are talking about r these the next gen type or are they just like the old rubbish pc version of skill moves where you cant join tricks together and things like that. That's would ake the game awesome to me.

But it will take a long time when FIFA will do that.

I look at the PC facts. Gameplay will not be next-gen so it is in the magazine. But who knew....

@SmartCanuck1988: As this version is being built specifically for PC, can I ask that the league table is printed in a font that can fit the whole table on the screen? It's a pain to have to scroll down through it. Also, please don't hide it in a menu, have it displayed just before each match starts!

I don't think it is true that the PC Engine IS NEW for 2009

FIFA 09

they wouldn't sell it for 40.- USD that is around 25.- EUR
For PS3 it is 60.- USD
Believe me, if the Game Engine would be new EA would charge us for the PC Version the same !

No they wouldn't, PC games always release at £35, no more than that and quite often, they come out at £30. Go to somewhere like play.com and you'll pick it up for around £20-£25. New engine or old, there's not a chance that they'd charge as the same as the console versions. PC games have always been cheaper than console versions, no matter which console.

ESL Sports: Exklusive Spielvorstellung von FIFA 09 - News - Germany - ESL Sports

I know not everyone can read german but there so much good news i think. I read so much things like AI at the PC version and much more. The feeling and gameplay are better than 08. And maybe it will be the best simulation of football alltime.

"Dem Feedback wurde jedenfalls große Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt, und so arbeiten viele Personen, die sich intensiv mit dem Spiel beschäftigen, an der möglicherweise besten Fußballsimulation aller Zeiten."

It's got a bit of the 'back to front' nature of German sentences when translated to English, but you can get the general gist. Looks good!

Edit: Quote ' It would be too simple, this game as a graphically and generally improved FIFA 08 to call. The fact is that some mistakes have been ironed out and especially in the field of optics lot has been made. The feeling itself was also improved and one gets the feeling that the match itself. Lack of will in all likelihood but an improvement in the online capabilities of FIFA. In how far EA SPORTS improvements proposed by us really believe you can not at this stage say. It is worth mentioning is that the development of FIFA 09 has not yet been fully completed and the existing potential is not fully exploited, but certainly in the right direction. The feedback has been any great attention, and so many people work, an intense game with the deal, possibly at the best football simulation of all time.'

Does this definitely refer to the PC version? I mean, Fifa 08 was ok, but it seems a little too good to be true that the PC version will make the leap from Fifa 08, to 'best football sim of all time'.

I have a strong feeling and optimism that we are gonna use the mouse to control the directions of the player instead of the keyboard arrow keys: < >^v and at the same time use the keyboard WASDEZXQC and SHIFT to control the ball. Its going to be like some role playing games. Like Diablo 2 or Tomb Raider or Indiana Jones games where you control the directions of the movement with the mouse.

In a way its kinda like better, it can turn out very well but EA have got to make it in a such a way so that it will work correctly or else it may turn heyway.

No, look at the gameplay video. It's not so difficult. Just a bit practice.

As long as they don't mess up the gamepad control in the process.

Hmmm probably not, but even if they mess up the gamepad controller I can gurantee you that EA will release a patch to fix issues like that! Small problems are easy to fix. But if there's a huge problem like commentary bug such as "great save" when there was no save only then EA can't do nothing about it even with patches.

Patches are like medicines. Its like if you get HIV AIDS you can't cure it medicines do not recover completely.
Same thing with patches they are like medicines but do not cure the problems completely. Maybe the small problems can easily be solved. I have no doubts that the controller system will not be messed up. Its the gameplay that we are all concerned about
