I am starting to get severely ****ed off with playing this game online. There are too many people "mysteriously" losing their network connection just as you are about to equalise, or take the lead in games. When this happens, the game is given to the person who is winning the game before "the loss of network connection".
I can understand that people would want to get a higher ranking, however, this is the wrong way to go about it guys. So, come on, grow up and play the full game and get the ranking you rightly deserve. My user name is johncfc1888. |

Its not cheating....its just the bad EA servers and poorly made game.
The network connection error is just what happens in Fifa 09 for the wii....its lalalala....

I think the point Geesmoke was making was that it feels that an inordinate number of online matches are "connection lost" when you're losing. I get that feeling as well. Sure, I'm not that good, so I find myself losing a lot. lol Still, it FEELS like when you're one goal down and just getting ready to put things back on even ground... the connection is lost.
Frankly, I've heard that complaint from others as well. I think that the stability problems of the game have given those folks looking for a cheap stat boost a tricky way to do it. Not that my opinion matters in the least, but I think it's bush league, and a pretty good way for someone not willing to do the work and really earn their kudos to look like they're better than they really are. Bah. |

OK, I do agree there may be a server error, however, I still think there is a element of cheating going on. Wouldn't it be an idea for EA to declare the game void, when a network disconnection takes place, thus not awarding the game to the player winning when the disconnection happens. This would probably discourage people from "losing" their network connection.

shes hot but id stI'm not sure about it being cheating but i definetly get very annoyed with the connection ending and me losing 1-0 in about the 30th minute... its happened quite alot and as i havent lost that many games it causes me to lose alot of ranking places... im currently around 165th in the rankings but i reckon it would be alot higher if the connections were better!
in my case alot of the disconnections happen when theres a goal kick, so sometimes when people go 1-0 up they just punt the ball out for a goal-kick.. i would call that cheating Last edited by stualdinho; 14-01-2009 at 11:31 PM.. |

agreed.....i started kicking it out at the start of a match to test the connection in case it would disconnect rather than wait to go a goal down.....i would have been pretty high up (around 100) if the connects were good....but they weren't/aren't so i don't play it anymore
![]() Still....the forum banter is good

I don't think it's cheating, but I have to admit I have never been disconnected from a game and the result gone in my favour. I was once winning 3-0 and got disconnected and it didn't change my rating. But in a game just now I was losing 2-1 and the ball was going into the top corner for an equaliser, and suddenly I get dissconected and it goes as me losing.
I don't know exactly what would make it fair, but something needs changing. |

yeh ive started kicking the ball out for a goal kick from kick-off aswell ..better do that and lose possesion than end up losing it from a 1-0 in the 10th minute. Its not actually that great a game, i would say i prefered fifa 08 on the wii by quite a bit but 09 is quite addictive

Guys, several times, right after the goal (the ball entered in the goal, the players even start to cheers) and the connection is lost...this is too weird and I believe that this people is cheating...I am replying and giving negative feedback about it...
Cheating! I would like to play online games with serious players...if you want, please, add me Rodrigo1980 |

yeh but theres not actually a way of losing the connection purposely without the opposition player being given the match unless you kick it out for a goal kick when the connection is bad - cos then it will end...

its not cheating if its the thing i am thinking of where it cuts out pretty much as the ball crosses the line...that is just like the goal kick problem......get over it move on.
