Nice targets, not realistic, but would definitely strengthen your team

I don't aim for a lot of realism, but my main for this MM is to keep it going till the end.

LA Galaxy-------------------------------------Manchester United

As Manchester United get ready for their next Premier League season, they travel to 'The Home Depot Center' in the States to take on the MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy. Let's take a look at the starting line-ups for both the teams.

Manchester United (4-4-2):
Van Der Sar (GK), Gary Neville (RB), Nemajnia Vidic (CRB), Rio Ferdinand (CLB), Patrice Evra (LB), Park Ji-Sung (LM), Paul Scholes (CM), Michael Carrick (CDM), Antonio Valencia (RM), Dimitar Berbatov (ST), Wayne Rooney (CF)

Subsitutes:
Michael Owen, Ryan Giggs, Anderson, Wes Brown, Darren Fletcher, Danny Welbeck, Obertan

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LA Galaxy (4-4-2):
Steve Cronin (GK), Chris Klein (RB), Sean Franklin (CB), Greg Vanney (CB), Ante Jazic (LB), David Beckham (RM), Pires (CDM), Peter Vagenas (CM), Eddie Lewis (LM), Edson Buddle (ST), Landon Donovan (CF)

Subsitutes:
Brandon McDonald, Michael Gavin, Joe Franchino, Ely Allen, Julian Valentin, Josh Tudela, Israel Sesay

First-Half Report

Both managers going confident in the match & hoping for a victory. A victory for La Galaxy would mean a lot if they can defeat the World Club Champions & the former European Champions Manchester United, but it is certainly going to be a tough one. A victory for Manchester United would mean a confidence start going to the Premier League next month & it could be quiet easy for the Reds, but without Cristiano Ronaldo will Manchester United be able to perform? Only time will tell now.

As the home team Los Angeles Galaxy kickoff the match, but no use as the ball is stolen quickly by Dimitar Berbatov who will be fighting for his starting spot in Manchester United against Michael Owen. Berbatov slides the ball towards Michael Carrick who then passes it to Park Ji-Sung & a great through ball from Park for Rooney who takes a shot on goal & a great save from Donovan Ricketts. Manchester United already going harsh on the ex-MLS champions Los Angeles Galaxy as we are only two minutes in to the game.

Here we are in the 4th minute as Patrice Evra driving the ball towards the Galaxy end. He quickly gives the ball to Paul Scholes who then passes it to Valencia. Valencia drives straight ahead playing on the right wing & crosses it in the middle for Rooney to head it in net. Rooney heads it, but another great save from Donovan Ricketts, but the rebound goes back to Rooney & he takes his third shot of the game and it's a GOOAALL! Manchester United take the lead of 1-0 in only four minutes as Rooney fires it in the net.

The first goal has really brought Manchester United's confidence higher as they have 67% of possession now & passing the ball smoothly & carefully to each other. Vidic to Evra, Evra to Ferdinand, Ferdinand to Neville, it almost looks like United's defense is going to keep the ball between them selves & not give a chance to Los Angeles Galaxy. Landon Donovan from no where makes a sprinting run towards Neville which forces the ball to be played up towards Valencia. Valencia with a long ball to Park & Park to Scholes. Pires makes a sliding tackle on Scholes & Rooney runs in towards the referee demanding to give a card & it's a yellow card for Pires & Scholes back on his feet not appreciating the tackle at all.

It looks like the Devils have got the hold of the game with over 70% possesion. Carrick with the ball now, it's played towards Berbatov on the left wing, Valencia from no where making a run towards the middle & Berbatov crosses the ball towards the center & Valencia heads it pass the net! It's 2-0 for Manchester United in 27 minutes & sad faces on Los Angeles Galaxy Players, but this was certainly expected.

Second-Half Report

Here we are now in half time with Manchester United dominating the first half with over 70% possession. They lead by two goals which came from Rooney & the new comer from Wigan Athletic 'Antonio Valencia'.

Second half kicks-off & it looks like Manchester United have made their first change as Ryan Giggs looks to come on for Park Ji-Sung. The ball is played all the way back to United's defense from Berbatov & it's quickly stolen from ex-United star David Beckham who passes it to Landan Donovan, who takes his & Galaxy's first shot of the game, but it just slides off the bar.

It almost looked like if Manchester United were to dominate the second half like the way they did in the first half, but Galaxy has had the ball most of the time in this second half, but they have not been able to produce anything out of their possession in the second half.

Manchester United driving the ball up yet again from the help of Michael Carrick. Carrick passes it towards Scholes & a hard tackle from Ruddle who completely misses the ball & got full man. It looks like it's going to be a second yellow card for Galaxy & a card for Ruddle & Scholes is not happy about it since it's a second foul on him.

Los Angeles make their first change of the day as Dominguez comes on for Vanney in the 57th minute.

Manchester United have been in the back foot in this second half, but they've got chances to increase the lead & they haven't been able to as Berbatov has missed three of his chances. United make their second change in the 74th minute as Owen makes his Debut appearance for United & last year's flop, but tonight's one goal producer Berbatov comes off.

United looking for the third goal as Valencia dribbles the ball up towards the field. The ball is played towards Giggs, who passes it to Owen, who then makes a 25 yard run going around the Galaxy defence & takes his first shot for Manchester United & it's gone in the cornet of the net. It's 3-0 for Manchester United as Owen scores his debut goal for the Reds. There are a lot of smiles on the United players on the field & the bench, but disappointment faces on Galaxy's squad. Michael Owen couldn't score a better goal than that in his first appearance for Manchester United.

We are in the final minutes of the game as Valencia looks to drive the ball, but is fouled right outside the key of the Galaxy goal, but no card is shown this time. Galaxy building & fixing their player wall as United decide on who is going to take the free-kick seeing Ronaldo is not on the field & probably never will be for United. It looks like it is going to be Valencia who could possible take the 'World Player of the Year' spot on the right wing. Valencia eyeing Rickett's net & he fires it home for United. It's a second for Valencia & fourth goal for United as they look to finish off their game with the free kick coming in the 91st minute. Valencia also making his debut appearance tonight against Galaxy & scoring two fantastic goals to start off his season for United. Smiles on Manchester United players on the field & bench. Sir Alex Ferguson can't get enough of his players as they look towards the end of the match celebrations.

Here goes the final whistle & it's a win for Manchester United after loosing unbelievably 2-0 to Barcelona in the Champions League Finals last June. Sir Alex Ferguson looks really happy with his current squad, but he did say he will be adding more players to the United squad. Congratulations to Manchester United on their recent results.

Thanks there & Owen isn't as bad as I thought he would be first. His teamwork is great with the players in-game & IRL.

Yup, but most EPL teams weren't able to perform as good as their usual self against the lower class teams compared to how good EPL is.

Probably a lack of match practice this time of year tbh. Still, hopefully games like this will help sort Owen in particular out for the new season. Don't want to see him injured for the season seeing as I'm hoping he'll get picked for South Africa.

I'm sure he won't get injured since it's probably the most important part of his career playing at United. He should be working harder & hopefully he will be a great success for United this season.

Manchester United & the manager Sir Alex Ferguson has successfully signed David Silva from Valencia & Luis Fabiano from Sevilla F.C. for €59 million.

Manchester United who recently have made their return back to Old Trafford after visiting the MLS team Los Angeles Galaxy in United States & winning with the results of 4-0 are now hoping to add David Silva & Luis Fabiano in their opening squad for the second pre-season game against the MLS team Chicago Fire & hopefully for the Premiership & European campaign.

Sir Alex Ferguson has been targeting the two La Liga players Fabiano & Silva after the World Player of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo was sold to Real Madrid for a world record breaking transfer fee of 80 million. The 67 year old has been targeting the two La Liga players since the last month & the deal has finally come to an agreement for the total of €59 million for both of the players. United have bought Fabiano for €27 million & Silva for €32 million.

Sir Alex Ferguson who was interviewed with the ESPN Soccernet said, “I’m happy to buy a young great striker Fabiano & the great playmaker of Spain & Valencia, David Silva. Both players have had great seasons with their former clubs, but I hope they will be even better at Old Trafford with the United team & fans. Both players are well suited for United & to me they didn’t cost a lot after the €80 million we received for Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid. I hope both players will start the Premiership campaign & our second pre-season match against Chicago Fire.”

“My team is as good as it was last year & the years before. I hope to win more trophies & earn a lot more respect with what I have at United now. I wish luck to both players, welcome to Manchester United!”
We asked both players how happy they are to play for a team like Manchester United who have previously won many trophies like the Barclay’s Premier League trophy, Champions League trophy, etc & respect in their previous years.

“I’m happy that Manchester United were looking for a player like me. It’s almost like a dream come true to play for a club as big as Manchester United & one of the best leagues in the world ‘English Premier League’. I hope I don’t fail them & keep them as the ‘Kings of Europe’.” says Fabiano.

While Silva says, “I really hoped that I could stay at Valencia, but with the financial problems the club is having, I’m happy to arrive at Old Trafford & play for Manchester United & under the management of Sir Alex Ferguson, who no doubt is the best manager. Together I hope we can win many more trophies & respect as a club & a team.”

We wish luck to both players & hope they have a bright future at Manchester United!

They're both great players and it'll be interesting to see how they do for you. Is Nani going if you've signed Silva then?

Yup, I know Fabiano can score goals as I've played with him in La Liga, hopefully Silva can find form ASAP.

Yes Nani is leaving soon, maybe right before the EPL season starts.
