Didn't read this since you signed Viera. Sounds like a close game, should've won by couple more goals though.

Arsenal Sign Bassong
Wenger pays 1.5 Million for the CB while Armand Traore has moved to Metz

Wenger has announced that he has made his last January transfer signing as he confirms thst he has bought French/Cameroonian for 1.5 million. Newcastle are expected to buy Croatian Defender Robert Kovac and Tunisian Centre Back Radhi Jaidi to help fill the void. Bassong said he wanted out of Newcastle as they are only 6 points above the drop. Bassong rejected contracts from Bolton, Hull, and West Ham as he wanted to sign for a club that Relegation was not a issue. Newcastle accepted a 1.5 millio bid from Arsenal to land the young Center Back on a 4 year contract.

While also Wenger annpunced the departure of young french left back Armand Traore to french side FC Metz for a reported 4 million as Metz look to return to the french top flight. Traore was unhappy at the chances he was getting after being stuck behinf Gael Clichy on the pecking order. Traore flew to Metz today to complete a medical and sign a contract. Traore will be wishhed the best of luck with the Arsenal support.

Djibril Cisse signs for Arsenal
The Frenchman moves to the Emirates on a Free Transfer while Wenger says"Bye Bye" to Fabianski

(Cisse breaking his leg 4 years ago in what was thought to be a possible career ending Injury)

Well Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was appareantly trying to fool the media when he said that Bassong was his last signing. Today Djibril Cisse who was thought to have a possible career ending injury a month before the World Cup in Germany against China( Pictured Above.) Djibril Cisse broke his leg in the 04-05 season with Liverpool and this was thought to be the end. Well think again. Cisse has made a full recovery and is now rising bck to the top. He was released by Olimpique de Marsielle after a loan move with Panathaniakos fell threw and he was a free agent. Tottenham had appaerantley struck a deal before Cisse decided to move to across town rivals Arsenal. Cisse has had a pretty brilliant career so far scoring 160 goals in 365 total appaerances for 4 diffrent clubs making his debut in 1998 when he was just 16 for
Aj Auxerre.

Wenger has sold the bad influence. Fabianski moved to Ligue 1 side Lorient. He agreed a 5 yr contract worth 10 million. Fabianski said he was happy to leave the ondon side after Wenger decided to place Declan Rudd in front of him in the depth chart.

In other transfer news Radhi Jaidi has agreed to a 4 yr deal with West Brom in a bid to save them from relegation. While baggies winger david Worall has been released.

Also Robert Kovac signed for Newcastle while they loaned out Ben Tozer to league 1 side Walsall. Kovac signed a 1 yr deal.
