Ukrainian striker Andriy Voronin says he will make a return to Liverpool and 'conquer' the Barclays Premier League after his season-long loan to Hertha Berlin.

Voronin joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen on a free transfer in February 2007 but struggled to make an impact at Anfield - scoring just five goals in 19 matches.

However the 29-year-old netted 11 times in 20 appearances Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga and is determined to be a hit in England.

Back with a bang? Andriy Voronin wants to prove himself at Liverpool next term

'It wasn't a bad season in Germany but now I am coming back to conquer England,' he told a newspaper in Kiev.

'I'm a person who likes to face new challenges. It's time to prove to myself and to those people who think I can score a lot of goals only in Bundesliga, that it's not so.

'Liverpool is one of the world's strongest clubs. To play for it is a great honour for any footballer.

'I know it's not going to be easy but I feel ready for a real fight to get into the first choice team.'

The Ukranian international still has two years to run on his contract with Liverpool and is joining the team on July 5.

COULD JAVIER BE LEAVING!

Disappointment after Liverpool lose in the UEFA Champions League Final against AC Milan.

Merseyside, England - Could Javier Mascherano be leaving Liverpool after spending two years at The Reds after his move from West Ham? With Real Madrid signing top class players, they have Mascherano on their shopping list aswell as Karim Benzema and Franck Ribery. Liverpool have recieved a £16,000,000 bid for the defensive midfielder but Liverpool have not yet made a decision. Could Rafael Benitez be thinking so selling the Argentian? We're still waiting for the latest on this massive transfer story.

Javier Alejandro Mascherano started his footballing career at in Argentina with River Plate, making forty-six appearances and scoring five times. He spent two years at the club before moving to Brazilian club Corinthians. He spent a year there, scoring no goals and moving to West Ham United. He only made five appearances and was caught up in a transfer saga with international team-mate Carlos Tevez. In the end, Javier Mascherano moved to Liverpool on a two year loan before The Reds made the deal permantaly. He has gone onto score one goal which was a screamer and make fifty-nine appearances for the big club. His international career is great as he has represented his country at U20, U23 and senior level. Scoring a combined three goals in eighty-eight games. He has won the Clausura, Brazilian Serie 'A' and has two Olympic Gold Medals to his name.

If Liverpool do decide to sell the midfielder, then could Liverpool have someone lined up to take his position. Rumours suggest that Fiorentina midfielder, Felipe Melo could come in as a replacment. Or will they leave it to the midfielders they have already like Lucas Leiva and Damien Plessis. If Liverpool do make it to Europe then one thing for sure is that they would need a experienced midfielder to line up alongside Xabi Alonso as Steven Gerrard has been pushed up just behind main striker, Fernando Torres.

Robert Tripp reporting for Liverpool TV.

I think you should keep Mash personally but Melo would be a decent replacement for him no doubt.

But seriously, keep Mash, I reckon Yaya Toure would be a good idea for a replacement, but its up to you

I WANT TO LEAVE!
With team mates Steven Gerrard and Martin Skrtel.

Merseyside, London - Last week we gave the latest news around Javier Mascherano willing to leave if the right money was paid, now we have more news as Alvaro Arbeloa said in a press conference, that he wants to leave Liverpool which has alerted the likes of Juventus and Real Madrid. The Spaniard has been the number one choice for Rafael Benitez at right-back but the recent signing of Glen Johnson has angered him.

Alvaro Arbeloa started his career at Real Madrid in the 'B' side in 2003 scoring one goal in fifty appearances. He spent three years in the side before moving to up to senior level. He played three games in the one year he had before leaving for Deportivo La Coruña. At the Riazor, he played twenty games but never really fitted in at the club. That marked the arrival here at Liverpool. Arbeloa signed for £2,000,000 but the The Reds only received 50% of the budget as Real Madrid had a clause in the right-back's contract. He has gone onto to play in sixty-six games for Liverpool grabbing two goals on the way. His national career is remarkable featuring at all levels for Spain. He has scored no goals but that hasn't stopped him from putting in the great effort, he has done in the fourteen games he has played.

Real Madrid are reported to be looking at Arbeloa for a back-up right-back to Sergio Ramos. Defensive problems allowed Inter Milan to win another Scudetto as Juventus finished third. Real Madrid are most likely to grab the defender but all will be revealed later this week.

Robert Tripp reporting for Liverpool T.V
