For Last Pagers. http://i408.photobucket.com/albums/pp169/SPEKZFIFA09/lfctv_logo_headline.jpg I AM STAYING AT HERTHA http://i408.photobucket.com/albums/pp169/SPEKZFIFA09/Voroninpic.jpg After scoring for Hertha Berlin Merseyside, England - Liverpool striker Andrey Voronin has decided to stay at Hertha Berlin after spending a season on loan at the Olympic Stadium. Rafael Benitez has agreed to let the Ukranian stay in Germany after both clubs agreed a deal which will be confirmed next week. With a shortage of strikers, Benitez has Fernando Torres, David N'Gog and Dirk Kuyt available with Robbie Keane moving back to Tottenham Hotspur. Michael Owen has been rumoured to be coming back to Anfield where he spent the best part of his career but we have no further news on that deal. Back to the Voronin news, the striker has decided to stay at Hertha Berlin after a successful spell and becoming Bundesliga's third top scorer for the 2008-09 season. He grabbed eleven goals in twenty appearances for Hertha and wants to continue his great form but not in England. The striker started his career with Borussia Mönchengladbach for five years before moving to Mainz 05. He travelled to 1. lalalaöln. The best part of his career came whilst playing for Bayer Leverkusen, spending three years there and scoring thirty-two goals. He moved to Liverpool in 2007 but never hit it off with the fans, and was sent to Hertha Berlin on a season loan. Spending thirty-three games in Germany, Andriy discovered that he belongs there and has decided to stay at Berlin. The twenty-nine year old was born in Ukraine and plays for the national side. Mainly upfront with big name striker Andriy Shevchenko. He featured in the Ukrainian squad for the FIFA World Cup 2006, in which case Ukraine managed to reach the quater-finals but they were soon knocked out by the eventual winners, Italy. The eleven goals that Voronin has scored for Hertha Berlin includes a hat-trick against Energie Cottbus but he has been on the discipline side after recieving a red card for a professional foul on Leon Andreasen of Hannoner 96. He recieved a four match ban.

![]() DUO HEAD TO ANFIELD! Merseyside, England - Liverpool have completed the signing of duo Michael Owen from Newcastle United and Glen Johnson from Portsmouth with a week left of the summer transfer window. Rafael Benitez bought in Michael Owen as Andriy Voronin decided to stay in Germany and Fernando Torres needed a strong partner up front. Johnson was signed as Liverpool have injury problems in defence and Glen should buff up the defence with his quick pace and ability to hit long passes. ![]() A legend returns after Michael Owen rejected a new contract offer at Newcastle United We will start off with the return of a legend as Michael Owen completed a £8,000,000 move back to Anfield after rejecting a new contract offer from Newcastle United. The twenty-nine year old experienced the best part of his career after coming through the ranks at Liverpool Football Club and scoring over one hundred goals for the team. He has formed amazing partnerships with Robbie Fowler and Emile Heskey. Rafael Benitez believes that Owen and Liverpool's number nine, Fernando Torres can make a partnership that will be remembered forever and dominate the football, we watch today. Dirk Kuyt has been moved onto the right midfield role for many games last season but with Owen in the picture, Kuyt could well be staying in the right-winger position. ![]() After scoring his second goal for Portsmouth against Manchester City Now onto the second signing by Rafa as Glen Johnson heads to Anfield to help the defensive errors which lost Liverpool the title last season. The England international has become a favourite of Fabio Capello after keeping out quality right-backs just like Micah Richards and Wes Brown. Johnson has scored four goals for Pompey since being sold to Portsmouth from Chelsea in 2007. He has represented England at U21 and senior level after being in the spot-light. Rafael Benitez has bought in the right-back to compete with Alvaro Arbeloa and to sort out the injury problems which keep occurring at the back. The deal is to be around £17,000,000 after Liverpool had to battle hard with fellow English clubs, Chelsea and Manchester City. The Reds are happy to have signed the afro haired defender and he'll do well under the management of Rafa and staff at Liverpool Football Club. Thats the transfer news for Liverpool today and we have been told that Rafael Benitez is very happy with the squad he has but wouldn't mind bringing in anymore players. Will he grab a last star or keep quiet? We'll see as the new season progresses.

I'll be back at Liverpool next season and I'll conquer the Prem, insists Anfield flop Voronin
Ukrainian striker Andriy Voronin says he will make a return to Liverpool and 'conquer' the Barclays Premier League after his season-long loan to Hertha Berlin. Voronin joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen on a free transfer in February 2007 but struggled to make an impact at Anfield - scoring just five goals in 19 matches. However the 29-year-old netted 11 times in 20 appearances Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga and is determined to be a hit in England. Scroll down for more Back with a bang? Andriy Voronin wants to prove himself at Liverpool next term 'It wasn't a bad season in Germany but now I am coming back to conquer England,' he told a newspaper in Kiev. 'I'm a person who likes to face new challenges. It's time to prove to myself and to those people who think I can score a lot of goals only in Bundesliga, that it's not so. 'Liverpool is one of the world's strongest clubs. To play for it is a great honour for any footballer. 'I know it's not going to be easy but I feel ready for a real fight to get into the first choice team.' The Ukranian international still has two years to run on his contract with Liverpool and is joining the team on July 5.
