Transfer News ![]() With the transfer window now in full swing the rumour mill is in overdrive. We can expect rumours about all the best players linking them to different clubs around the world. Some deals have been confirmed and here's some of the more notable ones: Brazillian striker, Vagner Love, has completed his move to Manchester City for around twenty million pounds on a 3 year contract. The striker was linked with the likes of Everton, Stuttgart, and Chelsea but he chose Man City reportedly for the one-hundred thousand pounds a week. Love played for CSKA Moscow between 2004 and 2009 scoring sixty goals in hundred and eleven appearances. This is Man City's second signing of the season along with Gareth Barry. Another player to leave the Luzhniki stadium is Russian left winger, Yuri Zhirkov. He has decided to leave CSKA Moscow after 5 years with the club. He has joined Chelsea for deal worth fifthteen million pounds. Zhirkov is a very versatile player and can play either left-winger or left-back. He has attracted the attention of the top European clubs since a wonderful display in EURO 2008 with Russia. Bayern Munich's deal for Ivica Olic has broken down in the final stages of negotiations because of wages. The Croatian striker was reportedly wanting a wage in the region of eighty thousand pounds but Bayern Munich was only willing to pay fifthy thousand a week for the striker because they already have 4 world class strikers in the squad. With one transfer stopped, another is confirmed. Mario Gomez's move to Bayern for thirty million has been confirmed today. Gomez played for Stuttgart between 2003 and 2009 scoring over sixty goals in hundred and twenty-one appearances. This means that Bayern now have Klose, Toni, Gomez and Podolski in attack which will give Van Gaal a tactical headache for the new season. A player that has been linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena is Franck Ribery. He has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, Man United and Chelsea to name a few. The figure that Bayern Munich has been asking for him is in the region of fifthy million euros. Chelsea are the favourites to sign the winger but the arrival of Perez at Madrid has sparked a potential new Galaticos era. Also, if Cristiano Ronaldo leaves for Real Madrid, Man United would be looking to replace him with a world class winger. In other news, Bayern Munich manager Louis Van Gaal has given an interview about the upcoming season and how they will play. He said that Bayern have the quality to win the league after losing out last year. He also said that he wants to play attractive football, "We want to play quick football like Barcelona, we want to counter attack like Man United and be able to dribble like Brazil but it'll always be known as the Bayern Munich way. I also consider Lukas Podolski as a major part in my plans"
