They originally played at Tottenham Marshes, moving to Northumberland Park in 1888 (by which time they were known as Tottenham Hotspur) and then White Hart Lane 11 years later. Tottenham Hotspur entered Division 2 in 1908 having already won the FA Cup as a Southern League team in 1901. Before the war, they added the 1921 FA Cup but had little success in the league (their best finish being a runners-up spot in 1922). Their first major success came in 1951, a year after being promoted, when they lifted the Division One championship for the first time. However, their best ever period came under the management of Bill Nicholson as they became the third team to win the league and FA Cup double in 1961. A year later, they won the FA Cup again and then, in 1963, won the European Cup Winners Cup. Nicholson's final success came in 1967 with yet another FA Cup triumph before Spurs began a slide which ended in Division Two. In 1978, they were back with the elite when they made a daring swoop for Argentinian World Cup stars, Osvaldo Ardiles and Riccardo Villa. These two set English football alight and when Spurs reached the 1981 Cup final, it was only right that one of them should score the winner. Surprisingly, it was Villa, the lesser-known of the two who scored after a mazy run. The Cup was won again the following season and yet again in 1991 under Terry Venables, with a team including England's brighest stars Paul Gascoigne and Gary Lineker. Post World Cup fever again came to White Hart Lane in 1994 when German striker Jurgen Klinsmann arrived, but the reigns of Peter Shreeves, Ossie Ardiles, Gerry Francis and Christian Gross brought Spurs no closer to the kind of success their reputation deserves. Former Arsenal player and manager George Graham was not a popular choice to take over from Gross in 1998, and his stoic style of football was anathema to Spurs fans, so they were delighted when the talismanic Glenn Hoddle returned to save them three years later. At least, that was the plan. Unfortunately, Hoddle's reign brought about little success either, and he was sacked early in the 2003/04 as Spurs waited for a real saviour, and in the summer of 2004 Jacques Santini was installed, however he lasted until November before leaving due to personal reasons. Dutchman Martin Jol took over in an attempt to save Spurs' season, but despite signs of promise he eventually left the club to be replaced by Juande Ramos in 2007. Juande didn't last long and English manager Harry Redknapp took over after leaving Portsmouth to come to Tottenham Hotspur. -- ![]() -- ![]() Full Name - Henry James Redknapp Date of Birth - 2nd March 1947 [Age 62] Place of Birth - Poplar, London, England Playing Position - Midfielder MANAGERIAL CAREER 1983-1992: Bournemouth 1994-2001: West Ham United 2002-2004: Portsmouth 2004-2005: Southampton 2005-2008: Portsmouth 2008-????: Tottenham Hotspur PLAYING CAREER 1964-1972: West Ham United 1972:1976: Bournemouth 1976: Brentford 1976-1979: Seattle Sounders 1982: Bournemouth -- Full Name: Fabio Capello Date of Birth: 18th June 1946 [Age 62] Place of Birth: San Canzian d'Ilsonzo, Italy Playing Position: Midfielder MANAGERIAL CAREER 1991-1996: AC Milan 1996-1997: Real Madrid 1997-1998: AC Milan 1999-2004: AS Roma 2004-206: Juventus 2006-2007: Real Madrid 2007-????: England -- ![]() GK - Carlo Cudicini GK - Huerelio Gomes GK - Ben Alnwick RB - Vedran Corluka RB - Pascal Chimbonda RB - Chris Gunter CB - Jonathan Woodgate CB - Ledley King CB - Michael Dawson CB - Ricardo Rocha LB - Gareth Bale LB - Beniot Assou-Ekotto LB - Yuri Berchiche RW - Aaron Lennon RM - David Bentley CDM - Didier Zokora CM - Jamie O'Hara CM - Jermaine Jenas CM - Tom Huddlestone CM - Jake Livermore CM - John Bostock LM - Wilson Palacios LM - Gilberto LW - Danny Rose CF - Roman Pavlychenko CF - Robbie Keane CF - Jonathan Obika ST - Darren Bent ST - Jermaine Defoe ST - Frazier Campbell ST - Simon Dawkins Thanks SAFC_Broady for making the graphics

![]() Full Name: Aaron Justin Lennon Date of Birth: 16th April 1987 [Age 21] Place of Birth: Chapeltown, Leeds, England Height: 1.65m [5ft 5in] Playing Position: Right/Left Winger Current Club: Tottenham Hotspur Number: 7 Youth Career: 2001-2003: Leeds United Senior Career: 2003-2005: Leeds United 2005-????: Tottenham Hotspur National Career: 2005-2008: England U21 2006-2007: England B 2006-????: England ![]() + LEEDS UNITED + A right winger, Lennon began his professional career at Leeds United, where he became the youngest player ever to appear in the Premier League at the age of 16 years and 129 days coming off the bench at White Hart Lane against Tottenham Hotspur in a 2–1 loss in August, 2003. He had been a member of the Leeds United Academy for a long time before breaking into the first team setup. In 2001, he set a record as the youngest player ever to have his boots sponsored, when he signed up with Adidas at the age of just 14 . Lennon scored his only goal for Leeds against Sunderland on Boxing Day 2004 during 3-2 win. His older brother Anthony was also at the Leeds Academy, but never made it into the first team. + TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR + With Leeds suffering financial difficulties, he made a £1m move to Tottenham Hotspur in early June 2005 and his Spurs debut came a couple of months later in an August defeat against Chelsea. On 18 March 2006 Lennon scored his first Premier League goal in Tottenham's 2-0 victory over Birmingham City at St Andrews, early in the second half. He was nominated by fellow Premiership players for the PFA Young Player of the Year for the 2005–06 season. The award was ultimately awarded to Manchester United's Wayne Rooney. Aaron Lennon started the 08/09 season off with a bang as he scored and assisted in Tottenham's 2-0 win over Middlesbrough on opening day. Lennon did miss variuos chances but despite that he went on to win the Man of the Match award. He cnrinued his goal scoring form against Stoke as he netted once and assisted twice as Tottenham beat Stoke City 4-0 at White Hart Lane. Aaron continued his goal scoring form as he netted twice vs Hull City to seal a 4-0 win. + INTERNATIONAL + Lennon was called up to the England U21 team for the first time in October 2005 and on 8 May 2006 was picked in England's 2006 World Cup squad despite being uncapped at senior level. He was named Man of the match in the England B match with Belarus on 25 May 2006 in England's World Cup warm-up match at the Madejski Stadium in Reading, Berkshire, which England B lost 2-1. He made his full England debut as a second-half substitute in the 6-0 win over Jamaica on 2 June. Lennon came on as a substitute for England in their second group stage game of World Cup 2006 (his first World Cup finals appearance) against Trinidad & Tobago. England scored twice following his and Wayne Rooney's arrival on the field, winning the game 2-0. There were some suggestions amongst fans for him to replace David Beckham on the right side of midfield. Lennon then played in the quarter final match against Portugal, coming on as a substitute for the injured David Beckham. Lennon was then himself substituted for Jamie Carragher immediately prior to a penalty shoot out, which England lost 3-1, with Carragher ironically missing his penalty. Lennon also came on as a substitute against Andorra during a European Championship qualifier and made an instant impact by assisting Peter Crouch's second goal after receiving the ball for the first time. Lennon made his first start for England against Israel in a European Championship Qualifier on 24 March 2007 and four days later was again selected in the first XI against Andorra. This proved to be Lennon's last appearance for exactly two years as it wasn't until 28 March 2009 that he was selected again by England, starting in a friendly match with Slovakia at Wembley Stadium. Lennon started again for England when they played Ukraine on 1 April 2009 at Wembley Stadium. He was nominated again for the Young Player of the Year award again in 2006–07 and finished 3rd behind Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United and Cesc Fàbregas of Arsenal. Lennon signed a new 5 and a half year deal worth £20,000 a week with Tottenham Hotspur on 8 January 2007, which will keep him at the club until 2012. He signed a improved deal in March 2009 which contracts him to Spurs until 2014. Aaron Lennon was called up for the first game under Capello against The United States of America, and Lennon was in his peak at that time and he was voted Man of the Match with a nine out of ten rating and topped off the performance with two goals, both perfectlly worked from the England camp. Capello is to be said that after great performances for the Tottenham duo [Jermaine Jenas and Aaron Lennon] he will be giving them a chance of England football with the senior team. Lennon has too keep giving these performances to stand a chance.
