United Decide To Cancel Loans ![]() Manchester United have canceled all loan deals that had been set up for the 2008-09 season. The club have done so for unknown reasons, but Frazier Campbell, Danny Simpson, Tom Heaton, Manucho, Craig Cathart, and Febian Brandy have all been recalled by the Old Trafford outfit, while David Gray, Sam Hewson, Tom Celeverly have all been sold to the sides they were at loan at. Sir Alex Ferguson issued a statement for MUTV regarding the decisions, "Well, I really cant explain the reasons right now, but it will become clear by tommorow. The six players who have returned are undergoing physical exams right now, to check if they are fit. I had originally planned on bringing the other three back as well, but the clubs they were away at didnt want them to leave, they insisted on seeing out the loan, but when we argued that we wanted them, they offered to buy them, and we accepted. The reasons for the decision will become clear, some big news regarding a major event, will be released tommorow." Frazier Campbell, Tom Heaton and Danny Simpson had impressed in the United youth team, and were elevated to the adult side last year, whilst Manucho only joined the reds in the January transfer window. None of the four got many starts, and they had all left on loan earlier this month, but in a surprising turn-around, United are bringing them home along with youth team graduates Febian Brandy and Craig Cathart, who had gone straight from the youth team to loans. The three who have been sold, Tom Cleverly, David Gray, and Sam Hewon, were all youth team stars, who had gone straight on loan, and as Sir Alex said, they were going to come home till decent offers came in from Leceister, Plymouth, and Hereford respectively. The three sales have raised one million pounds for United together. Now the world waits in anxiety for Uniteds big announcement. It could be a signing, a tour, or maybe even a ownership change. The second one is most probable however, with Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and an unknown English team agreeing to take part in the World Football Challenge tournament in America this summer. The possibility of a sale is their too, but is unlikely that United will act in such a way, as that wouldnt explain anything. Some of the returning players have already set themselves goals too, and Frazier Campbell told us, "I am targeting 10 goals this season, as a youth player, I think that would be a repectable tally, that could see me become part of the starting XI next season. I honestly was homesick in London, so I am glad to be back in Manchester. Its going to be a brilliant season, with the Premier League crown being our major goal. I cant wait to get out there." Danny Simpson also gave us a bit of an interview, "Well, I am glad to be back at Old Trafford. I just want to impress, because according to my calculations, I am third in the pecking order for right back, Gary and Rafael are far ahead of me in the gaffers mind, although, I am pretty sure Ill get a lot of games. I cant wait to play, it will be an awesome day for me when I get to start every game for us, and the path to that way begins with playing." So, what do you think of Uniteds decision? It certainely provided depth at the back which was vital, following the sale of Mikael Silvestre to Arsenal. The club only had 3 cb's, now they have 4. The team may already be too strong for fellow tittle challengers Liverpool and Chelsea. With a signing or two expected, this team may be hotter to handle than 7 Jalapeno's, with crushed red pepper and habanero pepper filling, in your mouth at once.
