JOZY BACK ON FORM AS CITY EASE PAST SPURS
Bristol City hosted Tottenham Hotspur for their last league game for almost a month and what a game to remember for the home fans. Bristol City finished the game emphatic winners with Jozy Altidore scoring three and winning a penalty. This meant that Bristol City have scored four hat-tricks in their last three games!

The game was a battle of the midfields for the first 20 minutes with the ball moving between the two sides constantly and neither team working the ball far enough to create a good chance on goal. Tottenham's three-man midfield though gave way in the 20th minute when Jack Wilshere took control of the ball just inside the Tottenham half and took the ball on. Michael Dawson and Jonathan Woodgate then gave the youngster a massive amount of space to run through as the former Arsenal man made the most of the space and slotted past Carlo Cudicini in the Spurs goal.

Six minutes later and Bristol City were on the attack again as Jozy Altidore held possession inside the Spurs penalty area. Jonathan Woodgate led the Striker over to one side of the box giving him little space to maneuver but then Woodgate felt the need to slide for the ball, needlessly bringing the American down with a rash challenge. Anderson stepped up for the home side and put the ball to Cudicini's right-hand side, leaving the Italian rooted to the spot.

Bristol City had built a comfortable lead and just before the half, things were made even worse for the London side when Alexandre Pato put a throughball in to Jozy Altidore. Altidore took the ball on and couldn't be caught leaving the Striker one-one-one with Carlo Cudicini... and there was only ever one winner in that battle as Altidore scored his first of the game.

Just after the break Didier Zokora sent a cross into the Bristol City penalty area for Jermain Defoe. Defoe's header though was caught easily by Sergio Asenjo who had found himself a spectator of the game up until this point.

With just over an hour gone Alexandre Pato put another pin-point pass into Jozy Altidore on the edge of the Tottenham penalty area and Altidore doubled his tally for the day with little difficulty, firing his shot into the top corner of the net, giving Cudicini no chance.

With five minutes to go Didier Zokora was again the man to put the dangerous cross into the Robins penalty area when his cross was met by Roman Pavlyuchenko. The Russian Striker's header though was saved brilliantly by Sergio Asenjo from close range, the ball then flew straight up in the air for Pavlyuchenko to have another crack at goal. Asenjo though got up in time to dive and save another header by the Spurs man to complete a brilliant double-save.

The resulting corner was one that was cleared quickly by the Bristol City defence as Spurs failed to make the most of their set piece. The clearance found Jozy Altidore on the half-way line who ran through on goal after knocking the ball past his marker. Altidore then finished off the attack, slotting the ball into the bottom corner and completing his hat-trick.

MAN OF THE MATCH: JOZY ALTIDORE

Great win against Tottenham, Altidore showed them how to hit the back of the net...

Shocking tackle by Woodgate. I had no chance of scoring in the position I was in... probably would've got a corner.

Godammit! I survived 53 pages without ANYBODY quoting one of my reports or interviews or anything. Why'd you go ruin it. It looks messy inside that bloody box.

Please could you edit the post so it isn't quoting my report anymore please?

Now that you edited your post, no problemo thanks.

Jozy was one of my early signings and I basically just gave Xerez decent money for him and him a decent wage. Nothing extra per goal or anything, just a basica contract. If it says you've not given him enough money as United then offer him some more. Seems strange that he wouldn't join you. Though, not sure he's the best signing for United, you'd be better off with Pato, Bojan or Balotelli probably...

Strange... Would expect him to move considering I got him quite simply. Don't know if I can help you too much on that then to be honest.
