Look at Stefan Kiessling or Patrick Helmes if you want a striker both great but I prefer Helmes. They both play for Bayer 04 Leverkusen. And I'm going to say 2-1 win for you.

He was one of the players off the dream team premier league thing that "made" his way onto the free agents list

This isn't the first time Grant has been at Portsmouth, as before he left to join Chelsea, he was Technical Director at Fratton Park, but was appointed Chelsea's manager in 2007, after the sacking of Jose Mourinho. Grant's contract was terminated at the end of the 2007-2008 season, despite getting into the Champions League final, and the League Cup Final.

Manchester United won their 1st peice of silverware this season, grabbing a narrow 2-0 win over Portsmouth, thanks to an 18th Minute goal from Midfielder Owen Hargreaves.

United ran riot in the opening 20 minutes, and it payed off, when Scholes played a through ball into an open gap, and found Carlos Tevez, who was in acres of space, and he chipped James from 30 yards, but James got a hand to it, and Hargreaves managed to keep the ball in play, and it reached the back of the net.

James was kept busy in the Second Half, and with chances saved from Ronaldo, Giggs and Tevez, it certainly wasn't going to be an easy day for James, but surprisingly, Portsmouth got more attacks as the game passed by, and David Nugent's curling shot from 18 yards, which hit the back of the net, was ruled out, as it hit Peter Crouch on the way through, who was standing in an offside position. United won a decisive penalty in Stoppage Time, when Sylvain Distin brought down Ryan Giggs from behind, and it was a silly needless challenge, as he was going nowhere. Dimitar Berbatov stepped up for the spot-kick, and plaed the ball into the top corner. Portsmouth were taught a lesson at Wembley, but Avram Grant won't be too dissapointed with his players, as there is definately more to come of them during the season

Portsmouth have completed a triple-deal to bring 3 players to the club. Those players are Atletico Madrid Defender Luis Perea, and free agents Lisandrop Lopez and Angel Di Maria. Portsmoth also started selling as well, giving away Djimi Traore to Caen, Ben Sahar to Fulham and Richard Hughes to Goteborg.

We shall start with the sellings, and Djimi Traore has moved to Caen for £259,000. The former Liverpool defender wasn't getting enough playing time at Fratton Park, and he wasn't in Avram Garnt's plans either, so he was placed on the transfer list. Hughes has moved onto another country also, as he moves to Swedish side Goteborg, for £190,000. He was desperately seeking a new challenge, and new surroundings as well, as his playing time was disrupted after he was involved in a fight with teammate Ben Sahar resulting in them being placed on the Transfer-List. Sahar has only moved on loan though, to his old club Chesea's rivals Fulham. Fulham were in desperate need of Strikers, after Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora were out injured for long periods of time.

The signings now, and Luis Perea joins Portsmouth on a 3 year deal, and the fee is beleived to be around £1,700,000. Perea is nearly 30 now, and adds on to Portsmouth's already impressive defence, spearheaded by David James. Di Maria and Lopez were both on the free-agents list, along with many other European stars, after a mass exodus of players, including Francesco Totti, Marek Hamsik, Per Mertesacker and Danile De Rossi, but Pmopey have a wage structure, and they weren't going to bust the bank to get high earners on free agents. Di Maria's previous club was Benfica and Hitman Lopez's was FC Porto

POMPEY WIN ON THE ROAD AGAINST WBA

Portsmouth won comfortably on the road against a lacklustre West Bromwich Albion side 2-0, thanks to goals from Peter Crouch and Kanu, either side of half-time.

A few minutes before half-time, Kanu went strolling down the Wing, and eventually pulled the ball back at the byline, and the ball found Peter Crouch, who took a few steps forward, and smacked the ball into the top corner. Scott Carson was kept busy in the Second Half, saving efforts from Pompey's new player Belluschi, and made a fantastic double stop on 79 minutes. Niko Kranjcar mis-hit a volley from 30 yards out, but somehow, it swerved towards goal, and Carson had to scramble across his goalline to punch the ball up in the air, and Kanu's rebound was perfectly put behind by Carson. Kanu eventually did score on 81 minutes, after Sylvain Armand thread a nice through ball to the hard-working Target-Man, and curled the all inside the near post to make it 2-0
