RONALDO LEAVES IT LATE

[ Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates his winning brace against Inter Milan ]

MANCHESTER UTD 2 INTER MILAN 0

Vidic Sees Red 65'
Ronaldo 82' 86'

Manchester Utd did leave it late to beat Italian giants but Cristiano Ronaldo did capture
a brace with 4 minutes within his first and second goals which won united the match.

FIRST HALF

Inter Milan kicked off the game and also had the first chance of the game when Ibrahimovic
was clean through with only Van Der Sar to beat but he took to long to release the shot
and Ferdinand pounced and knocked the ball away to safety. Inter Milan bossed the possession
with it going 70% 30% in Inter's favour until a interception by Carrick which eventually turned
into a break from Ronaldo who put a delightful ball into the box which Dimitar Berbatov headed wide.

In the 33rd minute Inter Milan kept the score level by the skin of their teeth when a Cristiano Ronaldo
freekick fizzed off the post eventually to be headed out by Figo. The corner taken by Giggs was cut
to Scholes who laid it off for Carrick who sliced it miles off target to the Inter Milan fans pleasure.

Inter Milan then had a glorious chance to take the lead when Quaresma got the better of Evra
and came cutting into the box and then played a ball to Ibrahimovic who side footed it
inches wide from the target. It wasn't Ibrahimovic's night as if it was early last season we
would have seen the net buldge.

SECOND HALF

Manchester United started off bright the brightest as Evra completed a overlap on new arrival to
the game Ji-Sung Park and crossed the ball into the box which was headed out by Zanetti which fell
to Carrick who took the shot on first time but fell wide. Whats with Carricks shooting tonight?

Things went bad for Manchester United when Ibrahimovic was clean through but Vidic decided
he was going to sacrifice himself just to keep Manchester United in the game when he brought down
Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The freekick led to nothing as Ibrahimovic decided he was going to try to curl
it into the top right corner but it went horribly wrong and went off-target, not a normal sight!

Cristiano Ronaldo was granted a golden opportunity in the 82nd minute when he was
given a spotkick from aStankovic challenge which could of broken his leg... and Cristiano
Ronaldo calmly slotted past Toldo to break the deadlock and put Manchester United ahead.

4 minutes later it was Cristiano Ronaldo again who made the net buldge when he used his
fancy footwork to get past Materazzi to then calmy put it past Toldo for a second time.
It was Manchester United & Cristiano Ronaldos second goal of the night and he surely won
the game for Manchester United with the help of Van Der Sar who kept a clean sheet.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Cristiano Ronaldo
