MANCHESTER UNITED REVEAL PRE-SEASON MATCH-UP

Manchester United vs. Inter Milan
(3-2 to Inter last season's pre-friendly)

As of earlier today Manchester United confirmed on their website that a match has been agreed between Manchester United and Inter Milan. This matchup will take place at the San Siro and the profits will be split 60/40 in Manchester Uniteds favour, travelling to the San Siro.

The last time these two sides met in a friendly it was Manchester United who lost out in a 5-goal thriller losing 3-2 to the Italian Champions. Wayne Rooney was the one who fired Manchester United into the lead, but is was a lead that lasted four minutes due to defensive muddle ups giving David Suazo the opportunity to level it. Another defensive slip-up by Patrice Evra gave Stankovic the opporutinuty to give it to Figo who went pacing on only for Zlatan Imbrahimovic to turn the friendly around 2-1. Inter then took it to 3-1 when Figo helped Suazo to grab his second and Inters 3rd. But is was Second half substitute Adriano who headed it past his own keeper to gradually end the game 3-2 in Inters favour.

Sir Alex has said this time around Inter will be facing a different Manchester United, a team who have come fresh off a Champions League triumph against Chelsea, and Sir Alex says the lockeroom is fuming with confidence and all will be revealed on the pitch. Sir Alex has said one player in particular who is fuming up for this confrontation is Cristiano Ronaldo. The Manchester United hit-man has netted 42 goals in his previous season and claims there is more to come from him.

NATURALLY GIFTED

Sir Alex Ferguson on Dimitar Berbatov

Sir Alex Ferguson today has put 100% backing into £30+ million summer signing Dimitar Berbatov today after speaking to Sky Sports representives about Berbatov.

Dimitar Berbatov has been compared to Eric Cantona & Wayne Rooney, but Sir Alex says he can become better than both combined. Dimitar Berbatov has not yet had his chance to shine in a Red jersey but Sir Alex says Dimitar will be squashed into a confident and talented 16 which will travel to face Italian Giants Inter Milan at the San Siro. Players such as Berbatov, Rooney and Ronaldo will all thrive on this opportunity to display good football ahead of the upcomming Premier League season.

Sir Alex has said that the best part to Dimitar Berbatovs game is his first-touch, his dribbling skills and his ability to wonder off into the right positions to receive the ball, and also score goals. Dimitar Berbatov knows how to lose his marker, and he knows where to be to put the ball in the back of the net. It will be interesting to see how Dimitar Berbatov settles at Manchester United.

Sir Alex has also said he is not worried about having alot of strikers, he has said that it will be even better as players such as Carlos, Wayne and Dimitar will be fighting for a spot in a Manchester United starting eleven. Sir Alex says he will rotate players on their performances and the effort they put in on the training grounds.
