Copenhagen vs Rosenborg in the Champions League would have been a good time!

Founded in 1995, the New England Revolution are an American soccer team competing in Major League Soccer. They are based out of Foxborough, Massachusetts, and their name is derived from the area's involvement in the American Revolution. From 1996-2001, they played their home games at Foxboro Stadium. Foxboro Stadium was demolished in 2002, and Gillette Stadium was built across the street. The hiring of Tyler Jones as manager marks a turning point in Revolution history. Tyler Jones is a highly ambitious and highly successful manager, and he is expected to bring the club where it belongs: to the top.

The MLS SuperDraft is a combination of the old MLS College Draft and the MLS Supplemental Draft. The college draft was when MLS teams would pick players they would like to sign from a pool of college graduates. The supplemental draft was a pool of semi-professional players. So basically, it's just where all of the MLS teams sign young talent.

REVS ANNOUNCE PRESEASON FIXTURES

Revs captain Steve Ralston and co. will go on a 3 game tour of England

FOXBOROUGH- New England Revolution head coach Tyler Jones has issued a statement regarding his team's preseason plans. "Prior to the commencement of the Major League Soccer season, the Revolution will travel to England to play three friendlies against Coca-Cola Championship opponents." an excerpt from the statement read. While specific financial details have not been released as of yet, the Revs will be playing Crystal Palace, Watford, and Plymouth Argyle, and are thought to be splitting ticket costs 50/50. "This is a great opportunity for the organization, the players, and the fans. We hope some good results in England can propel us to further progress here in the US and widen our fanbase internationally." owner Robert Kraft explained. New Revs coach Tyler Jones was an ex-MLS player whose career was ended short just two years ago due to a devastating knee injury. His managerial skills have brought him to one of the biggest teams in MLS, and the faith of thousands lies on his shoulders.

Revs share the success in England

Pre-season box scores:

New England Revolution 5:1 Crystal Palace
Cristman 5th---------------Moses 90th
Twellman 41st------------------------
Cristman 45th------------------------
Twellman 56th-----------------------
Cristman 81st------------------------

Adam Cristman and Taylor Twellman had quite the night, with Cristman scoring a hat trick and Twellman notching a brace. New England dominated play, holding posession for over 75% of
the match. Crystal Palace's lone goal would come from a scramble in front of goal, where a deflected clearance would fall straight into the path of the Palace striker who would place it in the lower corner of the net.

New England Revolution 0:1 Watford
----------------------------Priskin 69th

Following a large win against Crystal Palace, the Revs were expected to hold their own against fellow Championship team Watford. They looked to be in control most of the match, and their efforts looked to be rewarded when star striker Taylor Twellman was taken down as he charged into the box in the 34th minute. Shalrie Joseph stood up to take the penalty, and his low driven effort was parried by the keeper. The match would remain scoreless until Hungarian international Tamas Priskin found space inside the area in the 69th.

A new food supplier has taken the place of the now defunct company who previously supplied the Revs with their match day snacks. The new company is rising, and $39,837 was added to the team's budget.

The Revolution wrap up their three game tour with a game against Plymouth Argyle.

If you're wondering, regular season reports will have more detail, but I just wanted to quickly report these preseason fixtures.
